Poor Cindy. It looks like Mr and Mrs Beale are going to snatch that child from right under her nose and she's just going to have to deal with it.

Looks like Cindy's on her way out.

Surely Cindy has the ace card? Bobby. Must say I find this Beale stuff just awful. It's totally unrealistic that they would carry on as though nothing happened. Even more surprising is that FM's just accept it all but witter endlessly about other families.

I loath Ian and Jane.

Cindy doesn't want Beth. Ian and Jane love Beth so they do have a right to adopt Beth because Cindy wants to give up Beth.

Hmm...I don't agree with with how Ian & Jane are going about but at the end of the day Cindy only got herself to blame, she needs to make up her mind and stop playing games.

She want the child, she doesn't want her, she want them to adopt, then she doesn't where does it stop, the child isn't a toy and needs stability.

Cindy kept her baby because she want something of her own, then nearly a year later she decides she had enough of playing mum, I think the writers have done a u turn tbh with this character to give Ian and Jane another baby.

Do you really think Jane has a right to that baby after what she did to Lucy.

They're sitting there telling a pack of lies to the SW just as they're lying to the Police about Lucy. They should be locked up, not given a child.

I hate Ian so much the most selfish man in the world.

I agree that Cindy should play this card to her advantage. I accept Ian and Jane protecting Bobby. It makes perfect sense. You or I might not protect Bobby if he was our child, but looking at Ian and Jane as characters and their history it does indeed make perfect sense to do what they're doing - however immoral.

What I think is totally unrealistic is that an unconvicted rapist and his victim would gladly continue to be neighbours.

I guess not, I mean she could never prove it was him. The whole thing with Ian just accepting both Jane and Bobby's parts in Lucy's death with such ease is shocking to me. I, too, find this Beale carry on awful.

I thought it was spooky when Bobby complained about Cindy and Ian arguing and shouting at each other. He killed Lucy for the same thing so maybe he'll kill Cindy too!

I'm not sure about this storyline. Neither Ian & Jane or Cindy are currently likeable, so I don't immediately side with any of them. Ian and Jane are hardly model parents and their attitude towards Cindy stinks but I agree with others that Cindy hasn't shown total commitment towards Beth.

The ideal scenario would be Cindy finally deciding to look after Beth and living somewhere else with her, preferably away from Walford.

I'm bracing myself for the multitude of "Mimi's a star xoxo" posts that will surely materialise on Thursday!

I can definitely see Bobby chucking the music box at Cindy's head, because she keeps harming the harmony of the house. Cindy will get scared for her life and then run away from Walford.

If I were Cindy I would scream at every opportunity to Jane, "You humped Ian on the spot where Lucy died, the day after you dumped her body on the Common!"

Especially in front of the social worker.

Who will probably give Beth to Phil. As they do...

I may have missed this being mentioned, but surely TJ would have to give permission for Beth to be adopted??

They won't axe Cindy. I think DTC realised while Lorraine was in charge and making Cindy a parent has ruined the character a bit. This is why they making Ian and Jane adopted Beth.

I don't know what it is but I really find Cindy irritating.

Depends if he name is on the birth certificate, I think he would have parental responsibility, however he not shown any interest and I assuming he not on there so wouldn't object.

Exactly. If Cindy does not want Beth, then What is wrong with Ian and Jane adopting her? If Cindy does not want to see Beth everyday, then she should leave and go back to stay with her Gran. At the end of the day, she cannot have it both ways to suit herself, She is being very selfish.

I agree. I think she is being a selfish brat. Only seems to care about herself and not her Daughter. It is all about Cindy with Cindy.

I think eventually Cindy will realise this and move out .

BIB Because they're criminals and liars, and their last 'daughter' was stuffed in the boot of a car and dumped on the common after she'd been killed by their son. Maybe they ought to own up instead of lying about Cindy. They are not fit to adopt and I'm surprised the SW doesn't know that the family is still being investigated for murder.

I kind of understand where the Cindy stuff is coming from from the writers perspective...

You find out your "brother" killed your sister and he's a child. You might question bringing up a child in that environment and your ability as a parent for not realising, but you love your "brother". She's still a teenager after all and keeping this secret is a lot of pressure, in addition to being a young, teenage mum. Maybe she doesn't want Ian and Jane to have beth as she is scared that their influence would cause another "bobby" scenario. If they can cover up Bobby's wrong doings; why can't they they also turn a blind eye to her having fun and understand why she'd want beth sheltered from this. In some ways she has the raw end of the deal. Peter is in NZ with Lauren and able to confide in her, Ian/Jane have each other and there is Cindy with no-one and none of her blood family to help with this burden of a secret. And interestingly is whether Bobby is the "devil child", becoming one and will do something else he "doesn't understand".

Well Jane was protecting Bobby so she was trying to make sure nobody finds out about what Bobby did. But what she did to Lucy after she died is unacceptable.

It's possible that Kathy will have some very strong words with Jane when she finds out about her role. I don't think Kathy will forgive Jane for this. Ian is so weak when he's with Jane so he does need to stand up to her more. I also don't buy that Jane loves Ian. It seems she's with Ian because of guilt.
