Wonder what Pete meant when he talked to Cleo about Harry being her first serious boyfriend and her seeming confused. I remember Cleo getting upset at a party and a scene with Holly led us to believe she was a virgin,etc...and no experience with boys. However after tonight I'm thinking Pete could have sexually abused her This will probably be how it turns out if it follows the Tony storyline..How old would Cleo have been when Pete was on the scene initially?

To be honest, I don't really blame her. She probably feels that no matter how much she protests against Pete, her family will always take his side and refuse to believe her. Her family keeping telling her she needs to let it go, it was a mistake and she should forgive Pete. She probably said she made it up to make it all go away.

I don't think she's anticipated Cleo is in danger from Pete. She believes that she's the only one he abused and that Celine and Cleo have a normal relationship with him. It apparently has not occurred to her that Cleo might be more attractive to him as a teenager than she was as a small child

This is what I've been thinking since last night's episode. I remember Sam saying this storyline was done before on a soap and after the scenes with Pete and Cleo I'm thinking he meant EE.

Maybe she also thinks that since Cleo is so strenuously denying that Pete could have done anything, that Pete had ever done anything to Cleo or was ever likely to. It makes me feel a tad sick to type it, but maybe Cleo's now too old for Pete...

I agree. JP's reaction was completely unrealistic. I don't mind some characters reacting like the McQueen's - accusing her of overreacting, lying or saying she needs to forgive him. Unfortunately some people are quite naive and ignorant when it comes to this subject. I wouldn't mind people turning against Porsche - as horrible as that is - if it was done in a realistic matter. But so far the way it has been done is totally contrived. It's very frustrating to watch. I find it hard to believe that her whole family would turn against her like that. Mercedes, Celine and JP have especially shocked me. You would think JP having been through a similar thing he would notice the obvious signs that Porsche was lying when she said she made it up. I'm still expecting some twist to explain why Celine was so firmly on Pete's side, it's seems way out of character for her to turn against Porsche like that. Especially as they seemed so close

She's taking A-Levels, so she's probably closer to 17/18. Porsche is now 26, and Pete abused her when she was 15, which means Cleo was only around 6/7 at that time

It's got to be going that route surely? He wormed his way in by acting like her friend instead of a father figure, probably bought her gifts and told her how pretty she is, she's his favourite etc before winning her over. Then he abused her but to her it was normal and he convinced her they are in a relationship and he loves her but told her to keep quiet as nobody would understand and it would hurt Reenie if she said anything.

He's a creep but the actor is very good so far.

JP took Porsche to one side after she said she did lead Pete on & JP gently asked her to tell him the truth. Unfortunately, she choose not to. It's such a shame as he would have stood by her side if she had.

I thought Porsche said there was 10 years between her and Cleo though Hollyoaks could have changed ages again.

It's possible Pete didn't abuse all 3 at the same time. Did Reenie kick him out after he abused Porsche? If not it's possible he went after Cleo a year or so after.

Agree completely. Some disbelief to make it more dramatic or whatever (as if it's not a dramatic enough thing) would be ok, but from everyone? Really? When she's loved and popular with her family and has looked after/mothered her sisters for years... It's not like she's untrustworthy or known as a liar or anything. Not that liars couldn't be abused the same as anyone else, of course.

Hey, I think JP's getting too much flak for this. He was willing to be there 100% for Porsche (when her mother & sister's were not) unfortunately Porsche lied to him.

JP did have a problem with Pete kissing a 15 year old & told him that he did even though he sadly made peace with him at the end.

I wish Porsche had stuck to her guns & not denied her abuse!!! She's only made it worse for herself!!!

Yes, for some reason I too saw some early similarities in that Cleo/Pete scene with Whitney/Tony in EE.
