I'll take improved characters and quests over seamless interiors though, and sounds like we have that!

I don't understand all the hype surrounding Fallout, and so I've decided to play either Fallout 3 or New Vegas.
Question is which one ? I really hope I haven't asked a "which is better Star Trek or Star Wars" type question, even though Star Wars is a million times better ![]() |

well...I prefer the story in fallout 3..but prefer the gameplay in FNV. Hard to say which one..if you like RPG type games with extra hard mode..then FNV...F3 for a more shooter type of game although F3 does have large elements of RPG. both are freeroaming..but FNV does have a large amount of invisible walls.

Keeping an eye on this one, big RPG fan but not keen on the post apocalyptic lark. Never took to F3 or FNV, but at the right price I'll give it a look.

I'm not feeling it guys at all, cheap looking with a poor start and the world just seemed empty.
Had to refund I can't force myself to like this

Yep, given it a couple of hours and I like it! The only thing I can criticise is that the environments don't seem very malleable - it's not like in other Bethesda games from Oblivion on where you can pretty much grab anything and move around.
I'm getting some frame drops as well - I've uncapped the fps and am letting Gsync do its thing, but sometimes it's going down to ~45fps at 1440p, but generally it's staying within the 70-80 range. It doesn't like accelerate mouse when indoors either - gets a bit choppy (this is with smooth mouse thing turned off). I suspect there'll be a few patches to iron out faults as they get reported! |

Only played for 45mins last night, but liking it so far. Literally just walked out of the vault when i turned it off. I'm glad its got you out there pretty quick unlike f3.
The world itself looks great. The character models and facial animation are awful though. Very dated. One thing that was very annoying was that i had to unplug my gamepads to get the keyboard to work. Seriously Bethesda! |

I'll be picking this up after Christmas. By then they should fix a lot of stuff that I've read about, and then I'll be able to enjoy it fully. I watched the first 20 minutes of it on a stream last night, and thought that it looked really good.

I'll pay £20 for a PS4 copy. No point in you lot having an unwanted game in your house.

I haven't got it yet (it arrives at Christmas), but if it's anything like F3 it will feel a bit so-so at first but will slowly grab you. After a while you can't put it down and it takes over your life.
