Anyone got any legendary loot yet? All I got was a leg piece of a legendary Ghoul.
Are they the unique weapons and armor with stars next to them? I've got loads Keep running into legendary enemies, and I'm only playing on normal.

It's certainly a damned sight tougher than F3 was. The first Deathclaw took me about 4 goes to kill, and that was while I was in the power armour and using the minigun.

I kinda cheated, there was an open building where I could shoot it from the inside and it couldn't get in lol.

Just had a random encounter, woman lures me into a building saying someone needs help, then pulls a gun on me and a load of raiders jump our of nowhere! Went to a basement level afterwards, and there's a load of dead trader bodies, stripped of all their possessions

I'm struggling to keep track of what I'm doing or what I'm trying to do. I can knock together a half decent settlement pretty quickly now though.

Gun wise I'm going for 1 gun per bullet type, with the customization you can pretty much change any gun up to suit your play style. Need something decent than can shoot the .38 bullets as I have loads and only shitty little pipe guns.

This game is actually hard as well, has you thinking about what to use your stuff on and where to use it rather than if being for show. Don't think I'd ever used jet in a fallout before, now I have had to use it quite a lot (against the feral ghouls) to get myself out of a proper hole.

Cooking all meat and veg is well worth it, you can get a few great little boost from that.

Yes it seems they have actually changed the game so items are actually needed this time around.

In Fallout 3 I never really used Chems or Rad Away etc, now I am using them cause without them I'd be a dead man.

I like it although I totally shunned the Minutemen and have only realised I have to help them. I've been in diamond city and other bits...and struggling.

Yeah, there really is so much depth to it. It is tough yes, sometimes frustrating, but I'm quite liking the challenge, and now finally, all my perks are starting to come together, and I can mod weapons better, so I'm slowly starting to feel badass I think that's how it should be.

Just seen a load of random battles going on in the distance, you can only just make out the people through a scope and yet you can see lasers flying about and bombs going off and all sorts. Loving it.

So I completed the Minutemen Base mission. Found after a pretty big battle a weapon that might of come in handy and now I don't know what to do with it

Agreeing with people finding it difficult, although I'm pretty sure I ran away from quite a few things in Fallout 3. Raiders throwing molotovs which blows up a car I'm hiding behind is a real dick move.

Not sure if you've completed this one yet.The first piece of legendary weaponary you can get your hands on is by heading to Cambridge and completing the mission that pops up after listening to the distress call. Think its roughly north of Diamond City.
Pretty much got me through quite a few missions even though I don't have a perk relating to the weapon.

Useful for anybody else needing something a little more powerful at the beginning.

Being able to tackle it in any way you fancy is a problem for us ditherers! I went along with the minutemen to Sanctuary but then left them to it so I could go to Diamond City. It's pretty tough on the way there and I've begun to think I should help set Sanctuary up before anything else.
I'm going to have to figure out all this crafting stuff. I find it confusing.

Also, if you join the brotherhood, one of them will repeatedly give you missions to clear out areas. Saw a heck of a lot of legendary enemies this way, and it's a good way to see a lot of the big buildings in the wasteland.

This game feels huge. I'm nearly ten hours in and I think i've only done two or three quests (though I got lost for about an hour in the car factory). Just finished the quest in the police station and thinking of making my way to Diamond City.

I still haven't figured out how the workstations work - are they all connected? does getting rid of all my junk in one mean all that stuff is available at another? Haven't a clue, I think i'm just dense.

The only thing i'm not really liking is my character who just seems like a bit of a wet fart. I think it would've been better to keep the character mute or at least get the voice actor to deliver the lines with a bit more oomph. Maybe that gets better later, I dunno, but I don't feel like someone who's urgently looking for their son at the moment.

I'm really liking the game

When I heard about having to make settlements I thought I might find it boring but I'm actually really enjoying it. I just made a big metal shelter complete with pool table, TV and disco ball in the first place

Haven't even got to build a settlement but I have the silver shroud costume....yeah baby! I don't like the Minutemen, I don't want to help I like the freaks and want to join the boddies. I tried to kill the black dude at the beginning.

Here's a question for peeps....

...have you made your person yourself and called it your name or have you gone totally different. I have a black lady called Ren. My name isn't Ren and I'm not black.

No, it's only at the workstation you drop it off at, unless you set up a supply route between settlements, which you need a perk for. You then go to one of your settlers and set up the route. It's a bit of faffing about, but once it's setup, it's done.

Have to say, it took a bit of getting into for me as well, but I'm absolutely loving it now. Already done loads of memorable missions, some of them are really funny as well. I can also feel the difficulty starting to slide off a bit as I'm finally getting more powerful with the perks and weapons I'm finding.

Me and my boyfriend are playing together, taking turns, and we have a character that looks like him with his name. One thing I don't get though, is isn't the game supposed to know 100s of name so Codsworth can address you by it? Well, it doesn't recognise his name, Nick, even though Nick is the name of one of the other characters

Ah ok, thanks. I think it's gonna take me a while to get to grips with it, it's a lot more in depth than I imagined!

I have that too, that mission was hilarious if you chose to speak like him/ (her?)

Well, it's 50/50 with me, sometimes play as a woman, chose a guy this time because it'd have felt strange having a husband

Generally, the male characters I design are who I want to be, and the female characters are the ones I want to be with

Gawd, that sounds sad, but you know, I never know what to base characters on, so I stick to that template

Yeah, it took me a bit to get used to it, I was so overwhelmed at first, I wasn't even sure if I was enjoying it, but then watched a couple of quick settlement guides online and it eventually just clicked into place.

I don't think fallout 3 was this difficult. Even though you had to contend with weapons and armour breaking. Saying that I used to get fawkes asap. Once you had him and his laser gatling the game was easy.

Took me a while before I even realised weapons and armour don't need repairing this time!

Yes, I think Fallout 3 was easier. VATS was easier when the enemies didn't continue to move, and some of the enemies are a bit bullet spongey at first, the AI's a bit better too. but it does get easier as you level up.

Glad it's not just me, it's definitely harder
