The Brotherhood of Steel know how to make an entrance!

I thought I had lost Piper doing one of the missions for BoS. I sent her to one of the Rocket stations but when I got there she wasn't there. I waited a few days and she still wasn't there, I went to her her home in Diamond city she wasn't there either. I thought maybe starting a mission quest maybe would bring her back and it did she was in the Detective's office having a conversation with him.

Could any of you guys/girls playing on PS4 tell me how the frame rate and loading times are on this one? As ever getting conflicting reports from reviews. Thanks.

I read a big article on it before it came out. Both Xbone and PS4 are supposed to hold steady at 30fps, but both occasionally drop as low as 20fps, albeit very briefly. It's supposedly worse on the Xbox one though because that also has a slight stuttering problem Tbh though, I'm on Xbox One and haven't noticed much. It's a minor issue at worst, and if it's better on PS4, I doubt you'll notice much. Apparently, the problem almost goes away if you plug a solid state drive into the Xbox. Maybe it'll get patched out? Unless it's a hardware limitation.

On the plus side, the detailed analysis I saw said the difference between the console versions and pc version visually is negligible, even with the mother of all pc's, you'll only notice a slight increase in the shadow quality. Looking at the screens, I couldn't tell either.

Some of my settlements are getting a bit ridiculous I have a three storey building at tenpins bluff with a balcony, pool table, bar and jukebox. I've even started picking up random items from the waste to decorate it, like beer bottles, coffee cups, pool balls etc...

I borrowed some power armour from the atom cats gang. What does it do, is it just good armour? Also do I have to join the minutemen? I have made a settlement and got rid of raiders in the settlement bit but when I go and tell the minutemen they say thanks for joining us. I do t want to. If I just got ignore them will there be opportunities to join other factions although I haven't found any.

I was wondering about this, and why I didn't join the brotherhood of steel just yet, but ended up in the minutemen. I imagine in the end it might make you pick. All I'll say is if you can join, the minutemen are worth it for the castle and its armoury.

But I hate them I want to join the institute. The reporter chick hates them and hates me after I eat too many bodies and stole peoples stuff and shot her in the face. Hehe

How do I get rid of radiation? My health bar is about 60% red and I'm getting pretty much 1 hit whenever anything hostile gets near me.

Pick up some RadAway and Rad-X

I used RadX and it didn't do anything. Where do I find the radaway?

Rad-X only prevents radiation for a short time. RadAway is what remove any radiation you have. RadAway can be found in any typical loot areas, on enemies and especially in first aid boxes

I so far I have found someone just to the east of General Atomics Galleria and someone in Vault 81 that can cure rads for 40 caps.

There should be some around, although it doesn't seem as common as Rad-X.

Some food also removes some radiation (I think it might be stuff you have to cook yourself)

Correct. There are a lot of recipes, and I think you can pick up more exploring. Best thing to do is find a cooking station and have a look through the recipes. It'll show you what effects they have.

There's a cooking station in Sanctuary.

I'm not far enough into the game to get to most of these places. I think I've done 4 quests, one of which involved jumping in water to turn the valves - making the radiation part of my health bar more than 50% of it. It's making the game rather un-enjoyable at the moment as I'm dying to literally anything I come across.

Anyway with the junk items can I drop them all, go into builder mode and scrap everything? I'm really struggling for space and I've already stashed all the weapons/armour that aren't equipped. Is there any need to keep stuff like a ball-peen hammer or can I simply scrap them all for the steel and wood they provide? This would surely free up some inventory space? I presume the basic materials they turn into are enough to build stuff and that I don't need the specific items?

Sounds like you made it to Diamond City. In the market area there's a 'drug dealer' who most likely has some RadAway. You can often find a sneaky supply of drugs in mirrors in bathrooms and white boxes behind doors.

That stuff sounds like Junk, which is used to craft. Go to your work bench and press the option for transfer all junk. This will take it off your inventory into the work bench. It will automatically break it down if you leave it in the bench. You don't need it on you to build things on your settlements and in missions it only takes up room. It's a pain but fast travelling back after each major mission and transferring the junk into the bench should loosen you up a bit.

Or just not collect the junk items at all if you fancy exploring.

I just did that sodding quest with the valves and picked up so many rads I've ended up in a never ending death loop, forcing me to go all the damn way back to Vaullt 111.

When I finally get back I'm gonna just shoot that **** in the face, screw his 50 caps.

But they give you a sweet hat and costume that I haven't checked yet but from what I saw on the dead man that I was given it off it'll make me like a posh pirate. If that doesn't convince you I'm not sure what will.

And, your character scares me.

Cheers, that's made things so much easier. Limited loot systems are such a pain especially as I tend to pick up anything and everything.

Yeh I've found diamond city but didn't stay there long. I just backtracked and did the quest where I had to find a locket for the Abernathy's. Go into a building and take out 10 or so raiders, no problems at all. Yet when I'm faced with anything non-human when exploring I might aswel just reload and save myself some time.

I did this quest and ended up seriously radioactive for a measly 50 caps. I should have gone back to a previous save and just robbed his cap-stashes he keeps in his trailers.

I've just cleared out the Corvega factory of raiders by awakening the protectron and letting it deal with most of them. There were a handful of them hanging around the outside of the building at first, but I sorted them out with a mixture of bottle-cap mine and my trusty revolver-rifle. I need to go back there now as I forgot to explore for ammo. What a game...

There's a doctor in diamond city that can cure your rads, in the main market area.
