Thank you

I did try to add more connectors but it still never lit up the room

I do wish there was more ready made houses like in fallout 3! I'm useless at making my own house and don't want a crappy shack.
I don't have the resources to spread around, I could only add a few lights and a chair to the house.

All I remember is the lights don't have to be connected directly by wires, unlike when using a generator, just be near or underneath the connectors, that connect to the fuse box. It might only work for certain lights but that's how I got it working.

Strange thing happened.....Found the 'Cult' which expect you to hand over all of your possessions to join, so I thought why not. Stood there in my pants, only for the moment the cult leader began to speak again after I stripped, mid sentence he was blew up by an air raid in quite a mess straight in front of me from the Brotherhood of steel.

Low and behold I was quite shocked, checked outside and everyone else was dead, took my possessions from his body and back stepped slowly out of the room.

Has anyone else completed that side mission? Probably a con in the end but you never know.
I tried that one and when I said I was leaving with my stuff he tried to stop me.

Has anyone else noticed the monkeys that are holding music symbols when wondering around.

Once you get your first Fat Man & Mini Nuke, quicksave, then aim it at the ground in front of you and fire that sucker. You can all thank me later!
Aha I found that out when I tried blowing up a glowing mirelurk a yard in front of me!

Wow, bloody mirelurks!!
Anyway, had to completely restart after getting to about level 11.
Somehow got roped into to doing a quest involving a mirelurk queen, and to put it bluntly, i had no chance!
Hows the best way to follow this game? as i find myself in places way above my level and in quests way above my level.
My advice is don't head south early on. The further south you head the more advanced the enemies are. Level up early in the northern half of the map

Yes, I've seen two of them so far. And two teddies.

I came across them. I thought they were replicants so decided to kill them all on the spot. Damn Synth paranoia has gotten to me.
Checked their bodies and they were human.
Reloaded just in case.

I did that at low level. Just hid inside the fort and popped of rounds through the holes in the wall.
Balls to levelling up.
Although I did happen upon a real bastard of an enemy in the form of 'Hammer'. Be warned.

On the Bethesda forum someone said the monkeys are a Toy Story Easter Egg. Haven't seen it so can't confirm. But they're an annoying early warning system for Raiders, Ghouls, Super Mutants etc. Shoot them on sight.

As for the teddy bears. After finding a few odd scenes with them already I'm constantly on the lookout for them now to see if they're up to anything.
"If you go down to the woods today..."

Acquired my 8th set of PA. Another T-60. Will probably get the X-01 before the weekend.

Are we able to convert West Everett into a settlement?

Finished the main mission, taking the Railroad's side. The ending was a bit mediocre, though looking up the others they're not much better. Time to carry on in the Commonwealth I guess. Cant' see myself spending the same number of hours on this as I did in Skyrim, though that's probably for the best.

Ew, what's happened to the board?
Anyhow. I've bulit my own personal shelter complete with lookout tower. I've cleared out another house and shoved some beds in it for the rest of the settlers and I've installed two hand-pumps for water. All approved by Sturges.
Now I need to provide crops. I have some melons and Tatos, but I don't know how to plant them. Can anyone help?

Just find an open patch of grass and place them like any other object.

Yeah popped him the other night. He's linked to the main quest. I'm not doing it, but when I 'woke him' the main quest triggered a completed section.

No mines yet. Been hit with a couple but I'm usually pretty good at remembering to VATS often (they show up in there btw)
One hit from a pipe rifle trap and one from a grenade bouquet but not died from a trap yet.
Only died twice - both from Hammer. The scumbag with pinpoint accuracy.

Has anyone done the Museum of Witchcraft?

I got this early on but it's way way far out on the other side of the map and is likely tough, I keep leaving it for now.

I marched over there when I was a lowly level 5. I got wrecked by some mirelurks on the way and then found the door to the museum chained shut anyway.

I started using the power fist earlier. It sure packs a punch and it has helped save my ammo. I did have to use 2 nukes though after getting hijacked by 2 legendary mutants with miniguns.

I totally forgot that was a thing I remember it now from Fallout 3.

I have been using the fist too and with the scrounger perk, I'm good for ammo now, where I was really struggling for it not long before

I seem to find every ammo except 10mm. It's like the game knows my favourite gun is a 10mm! And I've got that ammo perk at level 3.

I'm the opposite. I have loads of 10 mm ammo but my 10mm pistol is weak. I really have to learn how to mod weapons. I have the cryonator now. It's supposed to be one of the best guns in the game, but I find it a bit meh.

Yes. It's quite satisfying watching your enemies explode when you smsah them.

Yeah, range is a bit rubbish! It's good for powerful enemies that like to charge and melee you, but that's about it. Yeah, modding makes a big difference one you put a few ranks in that gun perk (forget it's name).
