I have to say it has to be one of the most tedious achievements I have ever tried to get.
I was up to 96% tonight; it briefly went to 97% even though the arrow was red. Then started dropping when the arrow was green. I've spent 20000 caps on clinics put up hundreds of cat paintings yet zilch. It just seems totally random.

I love the Brotherhood quests, but then again I'm turning out to be a proper git, I like impressing Cait, lol

But why should they decide what's right or wrong just because they have the manpower.

I did persevere and do some more of their quests but I really don't like power armor as it is no good to sneak in. Guess I am just not cut out for an army life

Can their quests be done without the power armor? If I keep taking it off an on as much as I am doing Danse is going to fall in love with me. He's already starry-eyed

I like that with all the factions you can join there isn't really a "good" happy ending choice. Just like real world politics there isn't no right answer and whatever you do you'll be causing someone to suffer.

In a word: yes. I've explored every conceivable area on the map and exhausted every possibly conversation with NPCs.

Don't get me wrong, I've put many, many hours into this game and can't complain about value for money. But it does feel like I hit the wall of Nothing Left To Do a lot sooner than I did with Skyrim. The Commonwealth simply doesn't feel that big and all the interiors are quickly repetitive (though they are for all Bethesda games, in fairness).

I'm at the stage where I left the quests they were boring, and just exploring and clearing any new buildings I find

Wow - either you've been playing like a whirling dervish for 24 hrs per day or the game is only a fraction of the size of Fallout 3!
I think my main gripe is that the quests keep coming round again....bloody irritating.

I'm finding the ps4 version unplayable since the patch.
Standing still and rotating the view gently, everything blurs and tears.
Most noticeable if near a tree, look at the sky and rotate it . It's like 5 blurry trees whizz by.

Was fine before the patch, now I can't move around without wanting to vomit.

I am a total noob when it comes to the Fallout games - have not played a single one, however, I bought Fallout 4 off Amazon recently, just because the game looks awesome and love games which have the whole post-apocalyptic theme going on!!

My game arrived yesterday (haven't had the chance to play it on my Xbox One yet) however, it also came with a download code to download the full version of Fallout 3, from Xbox Live ( a wicked bonus as I wasn't even aware that it would come with this!).

Looking at some game trailers for Fallout 3 (as I have no idea what its about), it basically looks just like Fallout 4 but for the Xbox 360 instead?

Is Fallout 3 and 4, essentially, the same game but for different consoles or should I be playing 3 before I play 4?!

Fallout 3 was made for the previous generation of consoles. Fallout 4 is the latest in the series and although it's a whole new game it is very similar. It's an 'action/adventure/RPG' just like F3, and it has a main 'quest' and many side-quests which affect the outcome, just like F3. The biggest difference is that F4 allows you to build settlements and supply lines, but there's no need to do these things if you don't want.
I can recommend F3. It kept me amused for several years.

I am on XB1 but have not noticed a difference. Are there any settings you can change, or maybe lower the sensitivity until they fix it?

Has the XB1 update been released? I noticed my XB1 making groaning sounds last night so obviously something was going on, but I thought it wasn't due quite yet?

Not noticed an update whilst I was there but will check tonight (worried now!).

X1 update is due out next week,

I traded my copy of F4 in to get battlefront - only played it for two hours and couldn't get into it, I'm tempted to buy it again now though as I am really bored and I think I might actually enjoy it if I give it a good chance.

Is there much difference between say Fallout 4 and New Vegas? I could just buy NV on my PC via steam for 10 quid which might be a cheaper alternative if their very similar. One of my main gripes with Fallout 4 was the GFX seemed awful for new gen!

Yes, update went live yesterday for consoles.
I haven't noticed any changes in performance. Runs just as well as it did before. A miracle considering who made the game.
It was just a general stability fix and a few crash fixes.

I'd suggest playing F3 first. As it's on console, with no access to mods, it'll feel like a step backwards if you play F4 first.
It shouldn't take long to finish, 80-100 hours
If you like them both I recommend trying out New Vegas, which I think is on the list for BC, if you don't have a 360 or PS3. My preference changes dependent on my mood as to which I prefer, 3 or NV. But with well over 3,500 hours and 150+ in F4 it's safe to say I love these games.

Different yet the same. Basic gameplay is no different to the other Bethesda RPGs.
But if you think F4 graphics are awful I'd steer clear of NV as F4 is much better looking.
But then, for me, these games are about substance over style.
You only have to look at the hammering The Order took to see that looking gorgeous isn't a sign of quality.

No settings at all as far as I can tell.

I tried changing my PS4 output settings to 1080p, 1080i and 720p but it makes little difference. They've increased the fps performance by botching the graphics it seems.

Only thing I can suggest then is to uninstall, assuming your saves are in the cloud, then re-install and stop the update if you can

I'd second that. I tried playing Rise when I first got my X1 which looked great but was awful to play and boring too.

I always forgive Bethesda games graphics and flaws as they provide so many hours of fun exploring and killing

The patch has removed the trader ammo glitch/exploit. The one where you can rip any trader selling ammo for everything they've got. Shame

I know it's "cheating" but it's single player, it's not really the same as real cheating. I was happy in myself to remove the issue around limited ammo, it was my choice based on limited playing time.

I might be alone but I'm not really a fan of limited ammo in games; it just means I end up hoarding it and never using the "good" guns, saving them up for a super boss that never comes.

I don't think I've ever actually used a mini-nuke

...I literally just started playing this the other night - initially it looks quite impressive on my Xbox One.

I will say, though, that the crafting system looks rather overwhelming..... I don't think I will ever understand it if I am honest Crafting benches for weapons, crafting benches for armor, crafting benches for houses, crafting benches for power - my god - HOW MANY CRAFTING BENCHES are there????? Why not just have the ONE crafting bench that does EVERYTHING...........?!

...and when in combat, what is the done thing here? Pull out your pistol, aim the cross-hair on the target and pull the trigger or bring up the menu where you can target specific areas of the body, select the required area and then shoot (the latter literally takes about 6 button presses? Do we REALLY need to go through this 6 button press rigmarole EVERY time we want to shoot a target?? )

...and one more thing!

When selecting clothes to wear, it seems that I can either select an outfit OR wear individual armor pieces - but not both? As an example - I have found a "drivers outfit" (which is one complete outfit). I also have found several pieces of leather armor. I thought I would be able to wear the whole drivers outfit AND also wear the specific bits of leather armor(i.e. a left arm piece and a right arm piece) however, it seems that this is not the case! Putting on the individual armor pieces results in my character removing his entire outfit - so essentially, I just wear the 2 arm leather pieces and NOTHING else (the character is naked, apart from his white underpants!!!)
