I had the same issue when building the robot workshop. I had plenty of resources but it would not let me build. Restarted the quest and I had the same problem. I had to travel to a different settlement and build.

Just make sure in your component view you have enough rubber, ceramic, circuitry, aluminium and adhesive actually 'on you' so to speak as opposed to what might be stored at a settlement.

I had this issue too.

I also had the same problem about lacking the required materials.

When it shows you what you require ie ceramic (6) or something like that. It doesn't show what you actually have, that picture is just a guide and not your actual material quantity.

It could be just one type of material which you might be lacking. Just get as much as possible and it will work. It is definitely not a glitch (although I thought that too)

I am about 12 hours in to the main game and am enjoying it so far, not being able to pick everything up is hard.

It seems my settlers are a bunch of racists and don't like robots.
I built a few bots in Sanctuary to help with farming and guard duties and my happiness plummeted from 87% to 62%.

I completed the DLC on the Xbox. Not looking forward to doing it on PS4. I don't have any of the good weapons I do on the X1. My explosive assault rifle was essential in the Mechanist's Lair.

The Mechanist's lair was a pretty big battle but it was made a little easier for me that I could hack the robots when I had a chance and to either blow them up or get a little extra help.

I only been playing the game for months and only just found out I can move beds and sleeping bags that were already on the settlement. The beds in the Slog showers are finally gone. Yay!

I did try hastily cobbling together a couple of bots at the robot station between waves but they were quickly despatched.
Ada was useless even when given an explosive minigun and automatic laser and full armour.

Anything haloed white can be moved.
Orange/yellow can be scrapped with impunity. (container contents will transfer to Workbench)

With no option to even move the beds nevermind scrap showing up on the beds I thought they were permanent. I had to hold X to moved them, instead of just tapping, and place them on a floor I made then removed the floor to make the beds disappear altogether. Very strange way to have to get rid of them.

I had invested in the Robotics perk a while back and managed to hack a few of them and set to self destruct by just aiming at them from a distance then getting the hack option listed.

I've finished all the endings now. One thing I don't understand is

Spoiler
Why do the Railroad want to blow up the Institute? It would be the perfect place for them to keep the synths safe until they wanted could go out themselves in to the horrible world.

I can't be bothered to do all the endings. I'm just picking one. Probably Institute. I've put it off for long enough, I'm just going to blaze through those story missions.

Although I did notice, whilst watching the launch trailer for the first time yesterday, a pretty massive spoiler:

Spoiler
You see the Prydwen exploding and falling the ground whilst the SS looks on

Which is exactly why I don't watch trailers! They often show critical moments like that.

Your logic has no place here.

You wouldn't have to play through the whole thing again though.
I'm on the fence as to whether or not to make a save at the point of no return and then reload for each faction. Or play it through another 2 times.

That's what I was intending to do but I've accidentally made enemies with the Railroad and can't be bothered to go back. I guess I can watch the other endings on YouTube if I want to.

I just did two saves and moved them to a memory card then reloaded when i had done one ending.

I've platinumed the game, doing both endings. Just make a manual save (not quicksave) at the start of the mission "Mass Fusion", choose which side to go with and then do it the other way from that point afterwards for the other trophies/ending.

Is it just me or are the vertibird rides a bit pointless, beyond looking at scenery? You're too high up to see enemies, all you do is get the odd pot shot fired at you from some unseen raiders then you're off again.

Apart from when you are made to ride it in the story, I have never bothered after that.

Someone said If you fly around in it and fly over areas you may discover previously undiscovered places but I can't be bothered to do that.

I have played through the game twice now. To finish off I am comparing my map with one I found on the net and going to anywhere I haven't discovered. I may have discovered some of these places on my first go round, but not this one but there are some places I know I hadn't discovered in either so making sure I get to everything.

I never bothered with the vertibird after calling one for a ride and it blowing up as I got in. I imagine they'll be useful though for the folks playing the new survival mode.

After completing the automatron dlc I have to say I feel a little ripped off. Yes I get to upgrade and build robots but I felt the main quest was way too short. In fact of it was not for the workshop glitch I think I would have finished it in less than 90 minutes.

A lot of similar griping on the Beth forum about the same thing.
It was never meant to be a full quest line. It was always about adding new features with a small side story.
If you paid £25 for the season pass you shouldn't be feeling ripped off. There's plenty more to come for the price you paid.

If you've seen the DS Fallout quiz, apparently the correct answer to question 16 is T-60 even though it's quite clearly X-01.

Downloading Version 1.05 now, no patch notes so apparently it's just DLC support for WW.

Just finished Kellog off in Fort Hagen and coming out to the BOS flying overheard was a wondrous sight.

This game hates me. My settlers are at 99% with the arrow pointing up but it would move even after me sending hours there putting cat pictures everywhere.
