PLEASE stop throwing people under the bus!
Nesta Robbins
03-06-2015
Is it time that "throwing people under the bus" was, er, thrown under the bus?!

An innocent enough Americanism, but as can be seen by the above sentence, way too easy to over use!

Oh and while we're at it, PLEASE don't say "it is what it is!" either

Any words/expressions used to death on BB that drive you crazy?

Every series has an oversued phrase. I think 'at the end of the day' was particualrly done to death one series.

I share your pain

I also hate it when people say 'going forward' at the end of a sentence, apropos of f*** all.

Also:

At the end of the day
Roller coaster of emotion
On a journey

I literally can't believe it. As I literally use literally, literally every day.

Basically................................................Yuch

Fundamentally....................................Yuch

When someone says to me "at the end of the day" I usually answer "What at night?" I do it every time they say it, they soon stop!!!!!

Haha this thread is like therapy, all the usual cliches have been said..

Really and truly can't stand when big brother gathers the housemates and there's that moment of silence, the housemates begin whispering oooh something's going on ooh a double eviction oooh etc basically comeup with every possible theory leaving for the opportunity for one smart ass to say I KNEW IT.. Yeah pick every number you're going to hit the jackpot genius..

I also hate when housemates constantly think everything is a secret task, surely keeping quiet about it would be the way to go in order to reap the rewards? Nope apparently sabotaging another housemate is more important..

That's not so bad.

Last series everyone's bum was mighty full of everyone else.

This lot, and Nick in particular, intersperse phrases in their conversation with 'D'yaknowwhatImean'

I like Joel, but he prefixes nearly every sentence with "To be honest with you" or similar. It's driving me nuts.

Nick says "you know what I mean?" quite often.

The ones that get me are.
"I wouldn't lie"
Any sentence using honest or honestly.
Hear this and the one thing for certain is you're about to get lied to
