I think Andrea is a different type of "animal", the likes of Stereo kicks (in particular), Fleur and Ben will require a lot of promotion because in my opinion they offer very little, they are run of the mill average singers at best and without promotion will vanish quicker than you can blink. Any success they have will be down to promotion not what they actually offer although Fleur I guess offers a performance aspect to her singing.
In Andrea's case, he has a lot to offer and he's a little unique in his stile unlike the above which will be competing in a saturated market.
A little promotion would be nice but regardless, I see Andrea as a "grower", I think he will be slowly introduced in baby steps with the album in effect becoming the marketing/promotion tool.
That of course would likely mean that the album and Andrea are not going to be an instant overnight hit and I think that's fine too as long as we start to see the album/Andrea promoted once it's released?
I feel with his uniqueness/stile a lot of people will connect with him once he/they (RCA) are able to show the public what he has to offer which in effect they can only do with the album...
Assuming the above, I'm not concerned. Although he could quite easily be a pop artist, he doesn't quite fall into the pop genre, for me he offers something more, something a little more unique, I see him as having a niche market that maybe people still need to discover/be introduced too that requires the above approach?
