I did hope for support from celebrities who declared themselves fans during X Factor. I hoped that Dermot would plug him too. RCA seem to have a lot of young singers on their books. Perhaps they sign them and wait to see which ones capture the public attention without any promotion. That makes it easier and cheaper for the company.

RCA are going to have to do something special now to regenerate interest I still think that they should have pushed things with existing fans a bit more, but the stable's locked up for the night and the horse is nowhere to be seen. Also, when asked about recording in America, Andrea said that he did no recording there. He did it all in London. Yesterday he said that there was somehing not quite right last year and now he's attributing Mel's comments to her. Is it a case of 'out with the old and in with Cheryl.' i thought Mel was the most discerning judge, last year, and some of her comments were insightful and surprisingly revelatory of her refinement of artistic appreciation. `i'm convinced that she fought hard for Andrea at a cost to her own best interest.

Well, Andrea is singing four songs a capella next week on Periscope.... I am already getting technical support queries about Periscope in my unofficial role as 'I'll sort out any Andrea stuff' lady.... This feels like WhatsApp all over again, where people got upset because they couldn't install the app, couldn't see the messages etc. But that said, it will be really nice to see him singing live. He is doing a performance Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and they will be voted for by his fans somehow? I will try to download the performances and put them somewhere that can be accessed by people who don't have Periscope. At this point, Andrea doesn't even have a Periscope account himself...

I don't understand why they don't just put these things on Twitter or Facebook - he's got a Pinterest account with only a few pictures in it, a WhatsApp account that hasn't sent a message for ages, now a Periscope account for the sake of four performances.... It's social media overload and it is making people annoyed, not getting them engaged... Fair enough if he was going to use these things, but why set them up, use them a couple of times and then leave them to stagnate...?

Anyway, I have a strong feeling now that Kelly is going to be the next single released. I hope that they release it nice and soon.... Or at least at a time when it will get the most exposure for him. It is a great song. Representative of the album. Good choice....

Apart from that, Andrea has been on holiday again somewhere, certainly there have been a few pictures of him posted in a swimming pool and hammock, but he is back in London next week, and let's hope that means back to work...... FB has been quiet. Twitter has been quiet....

A bunch of fans did a cool thing today and all took a picture of themselves with their copy of Kelly and then posted it on FB or Twitter with the hashtag #MyKelly - there were lots of people, dogs, cats, a hamster and a cockatiel Some more will be posted tomorrow if anyone wants to join in... Andrea needs a killer collaboration track like Sam Smith did with Naughty Boy or John Newman did with Rudimental to get a killer track out there on the airwaves......
