Well, Andrea has done two days of Periscopes now - yesterday, fans voted (on Twitter) for The River, and today they voted for Evaporate. I have got links to the videos if anyone wants to see/download them - they expire on Periscope after 24 hours (by the way, there are messages on the screen during the live broadcasts, in case you are thinking that Andrea is going crazy and getting messages in his head):

Interestingly, The River was recorded in Rome and he looked really quite unhappy to me, but Evaporate was recorded here, as he travelled to the UK early this morning, and he seems a lot happier? I am hoping that he might have had a successful meeting with RCA about his future? Hope so.

Tomorrow is the last cover from Kelly on Periscope (Dusty seems popular in the FB group, but who knows), then on Saturday he will be doing a cover, from an as-yet undetermined list I am guessing, again voted for by fans

I read RCA twitter occasionally and they seem to plug other artists but our boy seems to be utterly neglected. I shan't feel easy until I hear of a major career boost like a good tour or collaboration. However, I try to do my bit by sending RCA tweets about him.

Although It's very quiet with not a lot appearing to be happening, my gutt feeling is there's stuff going on behind the scenes we don't know anything about which has created this lack of activity.

I still feel and always did that all will be well in time, I always felt it was never going to be about the first album no matter how good, It takes a little time to popularise an artist, even years and it does unfortunately come down to popularity rather than material although of course the two go hand in hand.

It's really what happens over the next couple of years that matter rather than what happens today and my gutt feeling with that is that steadily Andrea will reach a wider audience whether with RCA or someone else

Andreas album is #3 on Cyprus iTunes :') I know it's a tiny place, but still, no promotion and top 3 is pretty cool.

Radio Swansea has chosen Kelly as album of the week. It's a small start but "from tiny acorns huge oaks grow". As Jessika noted, he is looking happy so let's just hope.

Thanks for posting those Jessika - talking of cover versions, I think Andrea should release a full length cover of Earth Song - am sure that would get the attention of the major radio stations!

He also announced the start of X Factor Italy soon and added "You will see me again, if you like", but it should have been a slip of his tongue because when asked directly "Are you going to be on X Factor Italy?" he replied "I don't know".
My polite guess is that he had some talk about an appearance on the show (maybe launching Lascia Tutto Così?); and if he will be a possible guest in Italy, why not in UK?

Maybe he meant that we would see him on the show as a contestant, if we would like to watch.
Napiri, do you think that the Italian audience will realise that SCowell went out of his way to sideline Andrea when he was running away with the votes? I would love to think that SCowell's manipulation was ineffective in Italy. It still makes me sad to think of the unfair treatment Andrea received.

I would say because in Italy he's one of their own and in the UK Simon runs the show...

I'm with you there, bladrunner. I don't care whether people think it's OK. It's just rude and disrespectful to ignore the performer and make a noise. It's interfering with the enjoyment of others. I would hate to pay to hear a performance and have the music drowned out by a noisy audience.

Great news that there is a potential gig on the cards and hope there is another single coming in the pipeline. Evaporate has definitely grown on me and is my favourite at the moment, but is subject to change obviously

I watched X Factor UK live on internet and read Sofabet commentaries so I'm well aware of it. In Italy it has been replayed on a pay tv with something near a million viewers, so not much damage done.


"Pecunia non olet" (money doesn't stink) and I think Simon quite likes the smell of it and Syco label is printed on Andrea's CD so I think it could be possible an appearance on XFactor UK.

I sent a tweet to TV Sorrisi e Canzoni. I don't imsgine it makes any difference but sometimes I get replies, not this time, yet.

The problem I see is that although Simon has a small interest in making money off of Andrea, he has a far bigger interest in making it off of the likes of Fleur and Ben along with various other artists he has on his label... I suspect Andrea will be a long way down Simon' pecking order for xfactor appearances but hopefully I'm wrong.
