Funnily enough Eva we just turned on our local radio station Eagle and the DJ said 'and before that song was Andrea Faustini' - so sorry I just missed it but great Evaporate is getting AirPlay! Would like to hear the Breeze interview....

Hi girls. Nice to hear from you two again. I think there is some activity round Andrea and I hope he has patience to persevere. I don't see how people can ignore the significance of his Best Performer award since he beat Ben, Fleur and all the other talent show winners. It shows that he stuck in the minds of the audience and they didn't forget him.

I like The River and What Will Dusty Do. It's a good album.

Oh I missed that! I know Evaporate is released now, hopefully he'll get a bit of promotion. It's a real shame he hasn't been included in the X Factor proceedings but I suspected as much. Still with all the vast amounts of PR Fleur had she didn't even make the top 10 and barely the top 15. Andrea has done well on what little press he's had.

By the way did anybody see that really sweet picture of him and Mel B meeting up for dinner on instagram? Really nice to see the pair have remained friends.

Looks like Evaporate is getting the usual promotion ie none at all Yes JazzyJaney how different things could be if he had gotten that level of PR but he did well regardless. It all stinks that he hasnt been invited back, but the way things have gone it doesnt surprise me at all.

Shame he has been very quiet today on Twitter - he needs a killer song and as much as I like the album, I have to be honest in saying I don't think there is one to grab the major radio stations......am sure it will happen in the future though! Sounds like Fleur and Ben haven't done much better either......

I am 100% sure if he had had half the promotion certain other acts have, the album would have done much better....The tracks are there...Evaporate was released yesterday and if you wasn't an Andrea fan would you really know? He has been let down badly..

Everybody is saying nice things about Mel but, with all her contacts in the industry, I'm sure she could have done more for Andrea. The ones who really put their hearts and souls into promoting him are his fans, especially Jessika/Susan who set up that fantastic website for him at her own expense. That should have been done by the record company.
Simon is investing in entertainment rather than records. I believe that he manipulates the voting to promote people who will fit into the tours he is backing. Fleur is on a two year tour. At present, she is performing with Little Mix, another group put together by Cowell.
Showbiz success depends on the favour of a very few people with too much financial and executive control.
The only way, now, for young artists to succeed and circumnavigate people like Cowell, is to set up their own little recording studios, write their own songs and promote themselves on Youtube.
We have all bought Andrea's cds, often, more than we really need, but we can't make up for the numbers who loved him for a couple of months, then forgot him.
The only hope now, is for Andrea to enter a bigger competition, older and wiser, and, hopefully with a really good song to grab the attention he needs.

Rca should've promoted Andrea more - they are obviously not bothered about chart or sales and more the development of artists - don't worry about Andrea he's in for the long haul - you watch, he's being nurtured ATM

Even though i have given into despair, your post sparks a little hope in my heart. Are you just hoping Eva, or do you know something? I'm wondering because I understood that, originally, Andrea was promised big promotion in America and a multi-record contract .
Cowell took Ben to America for several months while he made his cd. That must have cost somebody, {I hope Ben isn't racking up debts he can't repay}, Cowell also persuaded Kelly Clarkson to sing with Ben but It looks as though, despite his appearance on X Factor, the investment is not paying off. Sales are not good. He will probably get a little boost tonight and he is touring, tickets are available for £23.
I feel sorry for Ben because I think he's a really sweet natured person. With no perceptible promotion, Andrea achieved a better chart position. Both their cds are now selling at a discount.

I just have a feeling Hilda - Andrea is more international - not only that they have a track record for taking time for artists and developing them - this is the path I feel Andrea is going down - working on creativity and figuring out the artist he's going to be - his promo will come In time I think they will crack him internationally before uk. Try not to worry to much he will be ok xx

Thank you Eva, I am with Hilda and hope with everything that this is the case,!! We are all obviously frustrated with how things have turned out. Evaporate was 'released' on Friday and there is no option to download it off itunes if you have bought the album, audio videos have been taken down from you tube, no video to go with the song and no promotion to speak of. I really do hope there is a bigger picture here.

Obviously RCA so far have been a massive let down, to be honest I don’t understand it at all. They produced a brilliant album and then thew no money at the promotion of it. When Evaporate was announced as the second single I was hopeful but yet again the big radio stations haven’t even given it a chance. It's almost like they’ve boycotted him or something And I agree delz - how can it have been a single when it wasn't available to download or stream as a single?!

Gutted but not surprised that he wasn’t asked back to perform on X Factor…
I caught some of the final last night, Ben was absolutely dire in his duet with Leona (I don't dispute his talent but it just didn't work) - can you imagine how brilliant Andrea would have been in the same position?! So annoying. Nothing against Ben and Fleur at all, but I honestly think if Andrea was given just a quarter of the promotion they’ve received - or even one X Factor performance - he could have done really well. Then again it might be better in the long run for Andrea to shake off the X Factor label and be an artist in his own right.

I hope you're right Eva, about RCA developing him overtime, but at this stage it just feels like they've given up without trying.

At the end of the day though - he's only 21, has an incredible voice and has a fantastic debut album under his belt. If he's in it for the long haul, it's not a bad start.

I was almost certain there was going to be this big comeback on xfactor, and yes I can just imagine how brilliant he would have been and it certainly would have given him a big boost. It is annoying that it was ok for the syco brand to appear on his cd but not ok to have him back on the show,,
Really cant understand any of it at all either and it is all sooo frustrating, but like you say he is still young, and hope that he is in it for the long haul, be it with rca or anyone else. His talent just cant go to waste.

Exactly, I always thought there was going to be something big eventually but it just fizzled out completely before it ever really started. I think perhaps there were big plans at some stage (America was definitely on the cards) but the budget reserved for Andrea was put elsewhere instead... The fact that Kelly was made available on US iTunes the other week suggests that there was an intent to break him there.

I almost hope he leaves RCA so he can get snatched up by a smaller, more nurturing label. If only someone else had won that bidding war at the beginning, things might have gone a lot differently. I just hope we get another album from him - I'd miss his voice so much if we didn't

As much as I hate to say it, I hope this happens too, we were all so excited when rca snapped him up and we all hoped for great things. I am no expert on music industry matters by any means but I do follow a few artists and compared to them I felt all along that things didn't seem quite right, it doesn't appear that they have been that invested all along, whether its them or had pressure from other quarters I don't know. I am almost sure someone else would snap him up anyway, hopefully like you say with someone who will nuture rather than stifle his talent.

Another reason for my pessimism lies in the way he was snubbed in Italy. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the show but it was to showcase all the winners of the talent contest. Andrea was rushed through towards the end of the programme, his slot was cut short and he was left out of the repeat broadcast. Why would they deliberately leave him out of the repeat? It's almost as though there's a vendetta against him.
I agree with those of you who think he will have to go it alone, retreat for a couple of years, do some more studying for an alternative career in case nothing comes to fruition, and try to work on writing some good songs.
I have not watched X Factor this year but my husband had it on one evening and I saw the girl who is a finalist. She screamed through her song.There were no notes that fell sweetly on the ear. I fail to understand SCowell's choices. Woe betide any slightly overweight male singer. It doesn't matter how good he is Cowell will attack. It's all about the visual image with him.
Another thing that depressed me was the dire merchandise for Andrea. Much as I love him, I just couldn't bring myself to buy any of it. Fleur has been provided with multiple income streams. There's nothing for Andrea.

Yes definitely Hilda that was another source of frustration, we hoped for great things that night and it does seem that there is some kind of vendetta (I have my suspicions as I am sure you have) or whether it involves contracts or whatever, but we just want to hear him sing at the end of the day.

This series has felt quite lack lustre and the seven week span hasn't helped. The appreciation threads haven't really taken off.
