I looked through the things I've taped and this episode was there - so have just watched it

Hi all! Haven't been on for a while, what's the latest?

Andrea's twitter followers have diminished a little bit, Jazzy and he doesn't appear on RCA's list of artists. It looks a bit odd but nothing has been announced. He also appears to have changed his management team. It's not looking good but he's an experienced trouper and has been this way before so I'm sure he'll be looking for the next opportunity. Thus far, he never replies when his followers ask him when he will be touring.
It's very difficult for singers at the moment. I think there's probably too much free music for most artists to make a living, though a few make obscene amounts.
Andrea has started jogging so he must be paying attention to his image. I think he'll have to write his own music to make a lasting impact. Cowell's got a lot to answer for. His last two winners are not doing well though Fleur seems to be doing OK.

Sorry to have misled you. Andrea was still signed to RCA on Jan 26th so that's OK. Must have missed it.

Let's hope they have some decent plans for him.

Definitely hope there are great plans ahead for Andrea, really hope things are being put in place as we speak..

Simon has dropped Ben Haenow already! Poor lad!

I really cant see the point for voting for your favourite on xfactor as Simon will only invest in the ones he is interested in obviously..Ben won by large margin and Im sure that he deserved the same level of promotion as Fleur has had like all the tv ads, background music on practically every programme on the tv..etc... its like an up yours from Simon to everyone who voted for Ben.. and dont get me started on how Andrea has beet let down..

Glad to see the appreciation thread for Andrea is still going strong. ..despite lack of music coming from him atm. With Ben being dropped from Psycho ( lol) I hope this is a wake up call for Andreas management team to get him into the limelight and get the fans back on board in some way. ..me included!!!

I've heard show biz journalists call Cowell a genius because of his financial success but when you think of the way he manipulates song choices, staging and costumes to favour his choices, in fact, his record is quite abysmal. Many of us on this thread saw very early on that Fleur was his favourite and, as Andrea was running away with the votes, he started to make really unfair comments. Andrea was criticised for his gold costume and make-up but we later learnt that Simon has complete control of costumes and all aspects of production. Some of the contestants were deliberately targeted to pop them off. Often it was the best singer who had to be eliminated to make room for Smon;s choice. He struck lucky with 1D but he worked them to a standstill. They all made a lot of money but, when you think of all the people who have been disappointed, you realise that it's a cruel world. I believe that viewers have seen through the fakery and are sick of all the manipulation and deception.
On a personal note, delz, things have not been great but my interest in Andrea is a distraction from sombre realities.

His fans are spread all over the world but he hasn't had great publicity or financial backing. He's a wonderful live performer and if he could get on a good tour, I'm sure his star would shine. He is still very young and experienced enough to play a waiting game for the right opportunity. Another good European or American singing competition could shoot him into the stratosphere. Go, go, go Andrea!

It does seem that many more people are seeing through it all now, which is encouraging at least..ratings are definitely down.

That's the trouble, I would gladly go and see him anywhere! I'm always off to TV recordings and the like, but apart from a Christmas Lights switch on event I couldn't get to I haven't seen any other clear public appearances from him at all this entire year!! That isn't his fault of course, but I'm just disappointed. As much as I love the album, Andrea is a very visual performer with a charming personality, it's the whole package that works for me, and it can't really come across on an album alone. But if he's switched to new management then that's a great start.

Is it Modest Management? If so, then I've heard of their reputation.

Seems to be full of old BGT or X Factor acts and one chart wonders to be frank. What was the management team he was with before? Is this not the old one?

I'd just love to see Andrea performing and I'm frankly baffled as to why we've had zero gigs or public appearances! Is this just the norm post X Factor? Does anybody know if Ben Haenow did any gigs promoting his album?

A tour was set up for Ben but some of the gigs have been cancelled after his album came out and didn't do too well.

Andrea changed his management team a few weeks ago but I'm not sure this was a good move.

I'm pretty sure he is planning to go to America this Spring. He may be intending to enter Worldsings.

Andrea hasn't tweeted for three or four days. Ben Haenow is now signed to RCA. Andrea's name wasn't listed by his record company today. What's going on?

Andrea's name hasn't appeared on the Rca Website for quite a while now, although he is still showing on the Sony Uk artists website. Who knows whats going on.. Hope there are things happening behind the scenes and we will hear something soon.

No gigs have been mentioned for ages. I was hoping that he would tour but I haven't seen any mention of a performance. I'm beginning to wonder how he's surviving, though he and his sister were travelling in Europe recently.

The days are lengthening and I'm longing for warm weather, sunshine and all things bright and beautiful.

It is all disheartening, we had so much to look forward to this time last year, but I am holding out that there will be some great news very soon!
