And his medallion

It's exactly like we said, he manipulates the public with VT's, song choices and even clothing to get his way!
Ughhh it's just infuriating. The public need to wise up to it.
Thank god Andrea got a record deal out of it and is in a great place now.

Thanks for that Napiri, very interesting when Andrea was asked about Simon Cowell.
Andrea said Simon is involved in all song choices and clothing for all contestants not just his category!
Basically everything goes through Simon!
Exactly what we've been saying!

Ooh IDKMS a cappella, damn good
Thank you so much again Napri

Yes that seems to confirm what we thought all along then I really hope that Andrea can shake off that tag that Simon made for him, and that Andrea will be the one laughing longest

And the acapella is damn damn good

I remember reading something about that before last year's show had started. They all apperaently had to meet at Simon's to discuss dog choices. Then he asks like he never knew what song they were going to sing. The whole show is fixed

Honestly, the more I listen to GALL, the more I love it. I'm usually sick of a song after hearing it about a dozen times, but it just keeps growing on me. I really Hope RCA have a decent radio tour planned. All it needs is to get playlisted on Radio 1/Capital and it'll blow up. Unfortunately sometimes coming from a show like X Factor instantly gives you the tag of not being a credible artist and so not deemed 'cool' enough for stations like Radio 1, but I really hope they give the song a chance.

Each time I listen I hear more bits of that growl in his voice that I love its definitely a grower even though I loved it straight away. I have a good feeling, there seems to be a buzz about the song, keeping everything crossed anyway!!

It's the kind of song that's easy to love on first listen, so radio play will make it really take off! The first video of the song has over 10,000 hits and the Vevo one currently had 4,500 so its definitely gradually being spread just by word of mouth.

Bring on the promo!

I know exactly what you mean, It's something I said in a post earlier this week.
A lot of pop songs are catchy but very plastic, a few listens and it's NEXT...

Give a little love feels like it's got longevity and that comes from (A) being catchy and (B) passion and emotion in the singer. In my opinion anyway

Definitely agree!

Tbh I don't think we could have wished for a better song. And knowing that What Would Dusty Do is on the album makes me think that RCA have done a great job in producing a credible album full of rich material. If they've invested in the songs then surely they'll invest in promotion.

It's infuriating that people still hang onto Simons word like he's the second coming when in reality he's lying and manipulating them

Hi Hilda. I have been quite disconnected from internet recently, just some sneak peek and few comments here.
I hope to make time to translate some of the material appeared in Italy recently
I watched the Alberto Salerno video all the way through. I just thought they were both so charming and relaxed. I hadn't a clue what they were saying but I liked the way they said it so i just carried on, watching their interaction and the genial way they related to each other. I was fascinated by Alberto's reaction to one of Andrea's trills. He was quite impressed and turned to catch the cameraman's eye.
The curious case of the trills. Some of you may remember that I was not too thrilled with what I originally thought of as over ornamentation of the notes. Hitherto, my music of choice tended to be classical. However, the more I hear Andrea do it, the more fascinated I become. I can hardly believe his voice control and musical instinct. I don't think you can be taught that. I like his growl but I hope he will keep the pure tenor sound and show his versatility. He has mastery of any style of singing.

So the sneering laugh at Andrea's gold costume was planned!

Without Andrea's subtle interpretation of the song, I think it could have been quite banal but that's Andrea isn't it. He can create magic out of a simple ditty. I said from the beginning that it's a great choice, simple enough for the crowds to roar out at his concerts but it improves when Andrea adds his subtle variations. That's our boy, the one and only AF.

It comes down to tastes, I think I can safely say regardless of tastes we are all suckers for a catchy song. I think the difference is that to some it's all about a catchy song and all the bells and whistles that go with it, whereas as others, appreciate the artist behind the song, though of course the song still needs to have appeal...

A lot of the public are wise to it and won't ever watch it. The viewing numbers are decreasing year by year and he has to find different gimmicks each year just to attract an audience. My children and grandchildren were not too thrilled that I watched it this year. I never will again but I will watch anything Andrea does and if SCowell wants to pay Andrea a big fat sum of money to sing next year, I will watch that episode and switch off when Andrea has finished. I still feel a painful lump in my throat when I think of the way our boy was treated but he rose above it and made us even more proud of him.
That brave boy came over to this country on his own, gave up his studies, gambled everything for his one chance, to be treated like that. I was ashamed to be British when I saw it.

Oh well at least he's got an international recording contract from it, global fans, and media and celebrity endorsements - none of which he got when he won that tv show in Italy.

Too true! His endurance and humility paid off. All we need now is huge success so that we can see SCowell try to ingratiate himself with INTERNATIONAL SINGING SENSATION ANDREA FAUSTINI. Go Andrea!

The funny little videos Andrea posts on fb have more views than GALL he really needs to embed the video properly so people can access it easily by just pressing play rather than following the link...

Ah well though! Still very early days. I think next week should be filled with a decent amount of promo if the press stuff comes out as well as the live session Anyone have a rough idea of how long before release radio tours usually take place? 1 month and 3 days till the single release!

Perhaps he's not as clever as you are at using the internet, dbarnz. Why don't you tell him how to do it?

I live in Slovenia, so there is a great chance that I will take a little road trip to Italy one day during his tour (I assume he will stop by in his home country when the time for the tour comes)
Slovenia - really - wow! It is supposed to be beautiful there (sorry I am a couple of days behind!)...

Their lack of support has really surprised and disappointed me especially as Lauren tweeted about Ben at some length a couple of days ago, saying what a great and deserving winner he is. They may be waiting for the official single release but there hasn't been anything from OTY.

Are they all toeing the line, I wonder.
I am super disappointed about this too... Andrea specifically tweeted support for Lauren's brother too.... I have tweeted them all twice now..... Only good old Jay James has bothered... Not even Stevi!?

Jessika have you ever mentioned our thread to Rita to invite Andrea to have a look here? Am sure he would love all the support and have a good chuckle too. Good thing with DS is you don't have to register if you only want to browse/lurk. Which is what I did ever since XFactor series 1 started but only felt compelled to post after seeing my favourite contestant ever - "I like pugs"
Hi - yes, it has been posted on the FB group a couple of times, and some of the guys on there read the thread, even though they don't have a DS account.... and Rita is aware of it too, but she doesn't speak a word of English so couldn't read it herself unfortunately - but she will have told Andrea (.... and a big 'Hi' to Antonia from the FB group by the way - I know you're lurking and reading this.... )

I have tweeted about the DS thread a few times too - just recently when we went to part 2 - so I hope that some people will have discovered it from that....
