"Give A Little Love" is the beginning of the English recording adventure of Andrea Faustini. Today the debut single comes out.
by Mela Giannini
Today was released the much anticipated debut single of talented Italian Andrea Faustini, who cracked, in terms of popularity, the latest edition of X Factor Uk.
Although he finished third in Simon Cowell's English talent show, he was absolutely the moral winner because, with his sympathy, humility, simplicity and so much talent, he has conquered all, and not just the British public, but also the American one, since the latest edition of X Factor Uk was also broadcast in America.
The song that is leading the way for the debut album entitled "Kelly", due out on July 17, is titled "Give A Little Love" -published (as it will be for the album) for the RCA UK/Sony UK- and was broadcast this morning, world radio premiere, during the program of Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2.
The sounds of music are purely Anglo-Saxon and the sound comes very close to the style of Sam Smith.
In addition to the same Andrea, the song is signed also by other young authors, Camille Purcell, Sean Lee McCutcheon & Macdonagh.
Anyway, the album Tracklist was leaked (9 unpublished and 1 cover of Whitney Houston). Scrolling the titles of the latter, which is almost entirely composed of English songs, it shows up a title in Italian, "Lascia Tutto Cosė", song composed by Elisa with lyrics by Giuliano Sangiorgi.
This is the track list for "Kelly":
1. It'll All End In Tears
2. Evaporate
3. The River
4. Kelly
5. You Pulled Me Through
6. Back To The Sea
7. Give A Little Love
8. What Would Dusty Do
9. Lascia Tutto Cosė
10. I Did not Know My Own Strength (cover of Whitney Houston)
Among the (young) English authors of some of texts, there are some that are part of the BMG CHRYSALIS record company (for 'Back To The Sea' - Dave Gibson and for 'The River' - Emma Rohan and Jez Ashurst). But in general, all authors and composers who have collaborated on the album, are all young members of the British music scene, except for a great American author, who wrote songs for many great artists in the world, Diane Warren (author, among others, of the album cover of "I Did not Know My Own Strength" by Whitney Houston).
In recent days we have met Andrea in Milan and we interviewed him. To ask him questions was Alberto Salerno himself. It was a pleasant interview, in which Andrea chatted amicably with Alberto, who eventually managed to make him sing, a cappella, a bit of "I Did not Know My Own Strength" by Whitney Houston ... and there is no need to say how everyone in the room remained in admiration of the voice and the way of singing of this GREAT talent.
The interview, together with the part sung a cappella, we're putting it on-line this week, divided into two parts.
We wish Andrea to fulfill his dream of finding its deserved space between the International stars ... a place worthy of his artistic caliber.
