Is it just me or have all of Adam's pairings fallen flat? He was with Scarlet, then Mia and her mother, then Katie and now Victoria. He had chemistry with none of them but has always had major chemistry with Aaron. Should the writers just make him gay and do a Robert/Aaron/Adam triangle?

No point making him gay though, they're fine just being great mates. I can't see them in the more romantic sense, while Robron are perfect that way.

They do make good friends, but its just weird that none of Adam's pairings with women have any real spark and he has been with quite a few women in the village, i wouldn't even know who to try him with next, maybe Carly or Tracy.

Adam Thomas has improved a bit but Isabel Hodgins remains a very bad, hammy soap actress.

Adam is better in big scenes where he has to show emotion and rubbish at the everyday parts.
Victoria is the exact opposite. Hopefully they can improve.

I thought her acting was good in the scene where Victoria knocked Ashley down. I think she does more dramatic scenes very well.

Imo she's the 4th worst actress in the show after the ones who play Rachel, Ruby and Ali.

I wouldn't go that far. I think those four and the ones who plays Priya and Chrissie are pretty bad but the rest are ok.

She is ok as long as she isn't trying to cry, honestly though I don't think anyone on Emmerdale is that bad of an actor. No one really sticks out like a sore thumb to me and thats one reason why I think the British soaps are better than the ones here in the US, the acting is sooooo much better.

Yeah, I think she is weak but i have seen worse, I think Hollyoaks have quite a few weak actors.

Yeah, Hollyoaks has some bad ones, Freddie being the worst, Neighbours is really bad, I think the US soaps have stronger actors than that show.
The Adam/Aaron friendship is great and should not be changed into anything else. It's the kind of relationship that happens often in real life - someone who had (or has) a crush on you, but to you they are just a friend.
You know they'd gladly die for you, and you try your hardest not to abuse that, but you can't help but feel guilty sometimes. If all goes right, like it did with those two, over time you can go back to being real friends, but a little bit of something more will always remain.

I think the cull in US Soaps to just 4 or so daytime means the acting is better across the board. Although miles in front for me is B&B.

Sadly that isn't the case, Days still have a lot of bad actors and I tuned into GH for their live week and the acting was so bad I couldn't take it.

I agree with you and its good that even when Aaron returned they addressed his feelings. I'm not hoping for an Adam/Aaron pairing but they've tried him with several women and it hasn't worked out so it just makes me wonder if maybe they should have gone that route

I agree. Adam Thomas can still seem a bit awkward in the 'everyday scenes' but handled stuff like the James reveal fairly well. Isobel Hodgkins comes across quite naturally in the everyday stuff, but she hasn't been so good over the past few days IMO. I think the actress is still very young and inexperienced though, so to me there's room for improvement. Perhaps she's another one who would benefit from further study or other types of acting roles?

I think giving Victoria this storyline can only be a good thing in improving her Isobel Hodgkins' abilities. She doesn't normally get to do this kind of stuff so she could benefit from some acting lessons. Adam has improved a lot just from working alongside better actors and getting storylines.
It's a bit of a shame that Victoria is surrounded by Diane and Marlon, who don't exactly set great acting precedents themselves.

Isabel has been in the show for years so I don't get this lack of experience excuse. She's passable at hamming and camping it up but is quite dreadful at anything more. I can now see why she has been kept as a background character for so long. Quite frankly she is extremely lucky to still be in the show and would have been axed a longtime ago if her character had a different surname.
