Live feed poll
From Bigbrother 247... Live feed poll:
http://bigbrother247.co.uk/opinion-b...ive-feed-poll/ Interesting bit in this article: "With Ben Frow rumoured to be in talks to reinstate the Live Feed, this can be only a good thing for the program. The Live Feed will return the essence to the program that it is currently lacking, and Channel 5 will most certainly be applauded for it. " Wonder where that info comes from.. Fingers crossed

I voted yes but still won't watch the show.
Live Feed is the most important thing about Big Brother but there's so much wrong with it on Channel 5 that even Live Feed (which I constantly moan about) won't even get me watching again until MASSIVE changes are made. |

only us diehards want live feed back. the casual viewers don't care
even if LF were brought back, BB would never recapture the 'Glory years' of the early-mid 00s. Everything has a shelf life, and BB's ended many years ago |

Ben Frow said it needed between 5m - 6m viewers for a Live Feed to return.
That's ratings that EastEnders gets lol ..... C5 will never get those kind of sustained ratings. Sadly we all know that a Live Feed is a thing of the past. The show will continue but it's not the show that that I used to go out of my way to watch. |

It's the one thing that has never gone away despite the protests of some to "move on". As long as Big Brother continues to run the producers and Channel 5 will continue to hear "live feed" somewhere buzzing in their ear like an annoying fly.

It's strange they haven't revisited it to be honest. When it was done in the past, there were severe limitations that made it more difficult and expensive to deliver. Now we're in a time with superfast broadband, a variety of different distributions platforms and set top boxes, and most people are familiar with the concept of watching video from an internet connection. Costs have also fallen through the floor.
I suppose one issue is Channel 5 have lousy infrastructure in place to handle this stuff. Their website is awful. Their on demand apps and on demand service is the worst of all the major players. They probably lack the competence to do a good job, and that alone is good reason to leave well alone. |
