The Archers - Christine

Auntie Chris is really getting on my nerves All that pathetic whimpering when she found her house had been broken into. I don't think Bert made such a fuss when Freda died

I've never liked Christine much. I think she went away for years then came back so I don't know much about her - just a few details here and there. Did she have some problems with her soldier son? I know she lost her last house in a fire - but was it started by a Horobin? And is there something going on between her and Jim?

I was really hoping she'd sign herself into The Laurels tonight and never be heard of again. Bloody Peggy, who seems quite upbeat compared to Chris, had to try and talk her out of it though

Surely she must be around 80? I agree with you she isn't a ray of sunshine and George has been dead for quite a long time. She should be used to being alone.

Gosh is she that old? It doesn't seem long since she was running the stables with Shula. I feel a bit mean having a go at such an old lady She should take a few tips from Lilian on growing old a bit more disgracefully.

George was the gamekeeper wasn't he? I think Will's son Georgie was named after him.

Haven't heard anything of Carol Tregorran for ages. Hope she'll be back soon.

I cannot believe that Lesley Seaward holds the record for the longest continuous actress in a role in world history. It is genuinely astounding - I bet she could count the times she has been recognised (or 'identified') over the past few decades on one hand. Apparently in her spare time she works in a charity shop giving back to the community.

Yet Auntie Chris is one of those characters who has made little impression on the show, unlike the two giants Peggy and Jill.
