In the last scene tonight Cindy brought up what Ian and Jane have been dreading, the fact Bobby killed Lucy, what will they do now?

I like the way the story is not finished and picks up and drops off every now and then, the way they have done it with this story is a lot less obvious block storytelling than some of the others they have had running recently.

Its true to life though isnt it, you dont get police updates every day and sometimes nothing happens for ages then its all go again.

its a bit like the carla lawrence case, the missng presumed dead woman from York.

Great post..totally agree! Also, was it just me who got chills when Bobby said "she better not cause trouble" and then gave Cindy a look when he was going up to his room? Not sure if it was intended to be seen that way but it did freak me out a bit!

I liked the look Ian and Jane gave each other when he said that!

It's terrible. How the hell anyone is supposed to believe on anything the Beale family do is beyond me. Jane lies to Ian for a year putting him through untold misery. She then confesses that that she lugged his dead daughter body and dumped it to be eaten by vermin. Ian says thats all right then lets adopt another kid. His daughters killer being his son. This whole Cindy storyline is so contrived. It's obviously why she was lumbered with a kid.

Plus he's wearing the same pajamas and playing a video game again.

Those are to Bobby what McKlunkeys chicken nuggets were to Morgan Butcher.

That scene was brilliant! Completely unexpected! I like ruthless Cindy. I'm pissed off about the whole adoption storyline, I really hope she ends up keeping Beth, but this twist is good.

Ian and Jane could easily say that she'll land herself in it for perverting the course of justice, but this is EE and people don't think rationally so I'll be genuinely surprised if they do bring that up.

Nope, not just you! Jane and Ian are clearly aware that Bobby's behaviour and outlook is not right at all, but they're too busy tip toeing around him to act on it.

I hope Cindy gets help to understand her emotions and ends up wanting to be Beth's mother again. Isn't she supposed to be around 15/16? She could say to them that she'll tell the police that they forced her to keep quiet or they'd kick her out and that they drove Peter away to protect Bobby, so they'd do the same to her if she told anyone. The police could see her as a defenseless young girl stuck in a difficult situation, so they could believe her over them. It'd be enough to scare Ian and Jane with the idea of it.

ITA - And knowing what we know about Bobby, Cindy should point out that "the loving home" that social services thinks they're leaving Beth in, ain't all that loving, and the child could actually be in danger.
