While some phone have abandoned support for additional storage there are still phones out there that do still have them like the LG G4. If you want some serious storage then you will be able to get hold of a Micro SD card with 512GB capacity. It wont be cheap at about £650.

Puzzling.

They claim to have a 256GB card too yet the maximum available currently is Sandisks 200GB card.
If it is real I assume they are going full 3D for production.
