Sharon's real dad is called Gavin.
Didn't Kathy go off with a Gavin?

Is this how Kathy is being brought back in? And if this is correct why would Kathy have to fake her death?

There are a few threads where this is mentioned but yes Sharon's biological dad is supposed to be called Gavin and Kathy is alleged to be with someone called Gavin. Why Kathy would have faked her own death is anybody's guess.

Either her dad will actually turn out to be Kathy's Gavin, hence might partly explain why Phil is trying to keep her away from Walford (though not telling Ian and Ben being another big reason). Or it might be a major red herring.

I'm really really looking forward to the inevitable Kathy/Sharon encounter.
