Nor do I. There will, of course, be exceptions, but I think in general men admire that kind of physique (and think women do) a lot more than women do. Most women would be more likely to admire either a body type like Cristian's or else a tall and slim body type.

Rex - domineering mean guy
Conor - domineering mean guy

Marq - domineering but very very insecure at the same time. He is interesting, he can have a laugh and he puts on this air of confidence. All of his misogynistic crap isn't offensive to me as it comes from a place of insecurity, not of nastiness like Conor and Rex. You can see his soft side when he gets drunk and I suppose (speaking as a woman) there would be a part of me that would want to break through and unleash this soft side.

All the crap he says is quite clearly banter, misjudged banter perhaps. But as soon as he realises he is hurting someone's feelings he stops. That is not the sign of a 'bad boy'. Didn't he say something along the lines of 'I am an arsehole in every way, but I would never cheat on a girlfriend?' (Of course they are just words) but again - not the sign of a bad boy. Crying over a bumble bee... not the sign of a bad boy.

So when you ask why are women so naive to douche's like Marq - true, he can be a douche.... but doesn't necessarily mean women are naive to him as he quite clearly as non-douche like aspects to his personality also and maybe that is what women are attracted to.

Don't agree. Cheeky mischeviousness does not only attract women with zero self esteem. Reminds me of quite a few people i have come across in life and they usually have a looker hanging off there arm with an attititude to match.

Neither, thank you very much.

It's all about chemistry, and what could be more enticing than being verbally abused by a compactly built chemist?

Can any woman here explain the attraction to "Bad boys" here?”

I don't personally find him attractive whatsoever (his teeth really horrify me for some reason lol)
However, I do find him rather (funny at times)

He's an alpha male, which is naturally attractive in itself to a lot of people.

Bad boys are one thing, disrespectful, obnoxious little ***** are quite another!

Yep i agree.. as i've said in other posts theres a point when it crosses over from one to the other.

The guys who have the balance right will do pretty well with all kinds of women.

Maybe lighten up and get some perspective? He's a contestant on what must be the most cynical, contrived RTV show in existence, and is consequently giving it his best welly.

And just for the record, 'Marc's body/looks' 'advantage' made me laugh out loud!

I suspect even Marc would laugh long and hard at the idea that he has some advantage in the body/looks dept.

And that is what makes him likeable.

Women like a challenge - someone who can/will take charge. Nice guys often aren't offering those things. They are boring.

Absolutely right.

A man can be bad without feeling the need to disrespect women. I've been out with so called bad boys, but have never been treated like Sam. I have more self-respect than to allow someone to get away with it.

I think this is a myth that "nice, quiet" guys latch on to, to make themselves feel better for the most part tbh.
