These two are evil. They should not be raising any children.

can't believe they threw Cindy out!

I believe what Bobby and Jane did is more unacceptable compared to what cindy has done and Ian can't forgive her for that but can forgive his son for essentially being responsible for his daughters death

I agree with this. Hopefully when Kathy returns she can make Ian see that Jane is toxic.

Me neither. I get the impression that we're meant to sympathise with Jane and Ian and think Cindy's awful, for some bizarre reason. They're vile beyond belief, I feel so sorry for Cindy.

I am too. The whole thing is a bit sick really. Jane sleeping with Ian where Lucy's corpse lay, a day later, dumping the body, manipulating a naive screwed up kid to get her baby from her... wtf. Twisted.

Ian and Jane are disgusting. They're emotionally abusing a 16 year old into keeping their secret. I want to see them both in prison now.

Agreed. How can Ian forgive Jane too? She dragged Lucy's body to her car and dumped her on the common for the foxes, rats and mice to eat. He's forgiven her as she did it for Bobby...

Same here. They have also tried to manipulate Cindy into giving them a baby. Ian and Jane are despicable. What they don't seem to understand is that Bobby very likely needs a child psychiatrist. He's clearly not right in the head. It's crossed his mind he killed Lucy and the way he's talked about Cindy and the way he looks at her is disturbing to say the least. It would serve Ian and frumpy Jane right if they are sent to prison and Bobby is adopted. However Ian won't go to jail as he's EE's top actor and won't be written out. Jane on the other hand...

When is Jane going to get her comeuppance? Villains always get punished in soapland eventually.

The show absolutely doesn't see Jane as a villain, though. Or Ian. Or Bobby. The looks he's been giving Cindy are pure camp thanks to DTC.

Cindy is also biologically related to Peter and Lucy but not to Ian isn't she?
Ian just seems to pick and chose who is family and who isn't when it suits him. Darned if I know why he took Cindy in the first place if this is his attitude.

Cindy clearly has post natal depression, but Ian and Jane have basically bullied her for months. Utterly disgraceful from the two of them.

Why feel sorry for Cindy?
No one made her live with Ian and Jane
She was happy enough to live under their roof for nothing, everything done for her and built in babysitting
How ungrateful!

I couldn't stand the appalling emotional manipulation from Jane as Beth was being taken away. It was disgusting.

I can't say that what Jane is doing is right, but I can see her motivation and I do feel sorry for her.

Jane has always wanted to be a mother, to have a baby to love and bring up. She couldn't have a baby with her first husband because of his illness and then she was shot by Steven and had to have a hysterectomy. She lost the ability to have a child of her own.

Then Lucy got pregnant and Jane's hope of having a baby were raised only to be cruelly dashed when Ian helped Lucy get an abortion in secret. And now it's happened again with Beth, but what must be worse is this time, Jane's had time to bond with the baby.

I thought we'd turned a corner when Cindy gave birth and had those lovely scenes with Ian in the living room. But they went back to treating her like crap again.

Ian and Jane are undeniably in the wrong, a disgusting pair of people, and I can't believe there is any ambiguity about that

But the thing is no EP will ever axe Ian he is a too much of an important character to loose.

I totally support Ian and Jane here , they love Beth unlike her own mother and can give her a good home . Instead they have been blackmailed into giving her up by a spoiled manipulative brat .

What they have done with Bobby is normal and is done with love even if misguided.

The DSM-5 (a professionally recognised medical manual of criteria for mental health disorders) defines a sociopath as someone who exhibits 3 or more of the following traits:

1. Regularly breaks or flaunts the law
2. Constantly lies and deceives others
3. Is impulsive and doesn’t plan ahead
4. Can be prone to fighting and aggressiveness
5. Has little regard for the safety of others
6. Irresponsible, can’t meet financial obligations
7. Doesn’t feel remorse or guilt

Jane has on countless occasions met criteria 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7. The woman is undeniably a medically diagnosed sociopath, and is not safe to be a parent to anyone. She belongs in a cell.

No way. I can't believe anyone would say that what Ian and Jane did for Bobby was normal. I can understand wanting to protect a young boy, but covering up a murder, disposing of a body on a cold dark common leaving her for strangers to find and lying to the police and everyone around them. That's hardy the actions of sane, rational people.

And as for Cindy, perhaps given time she might learn to accept Beth and love her, but right now she's not coping and insteading of helping and supporting her, Ian and Jane are railroading and guilt tripping a young girl who probably doesn't know what she wants.

as a character i like ian but if he was real then id be disguted but he has remained inncharacter and ian has always been like that.

jane has had a personality transplant and i cant stand her at all. the fact shes like mt dads girlfriend doesnt help and shes coming across seli-fish, thoughtless, forceful and controlling. if it was only bobby id still like her but this beth story has ruined her and make her ireedeemable imo.

What Bobby did was wrong but he is not a cold blooded killer , he made a mistake and Jane and Ian are trying to protect him to the best of there ability . And once Jane set the wheels in motion you can't just cop out and have to see it though to the bitter end .

It is a soap and of course the family is messed up but Ian and Jane are only guilty of loving there children to much if anything .
