Two very similar characters , although Marc has been briefed as to how to act.

This place was up in arms but I get the feeling if he were to win this place would be okay with it , for most of the usual reasons

The thought of him winning makes me sick, I hope it does not happen.

Well I loathe both of them.

Helena was a beautiful person inside and out. Definitely the biggest BB superstar who will never be forgotten.

Helen was chavvy, mouthy and unfunny, at least Marc is funny.

Marc is not acting - he is just how he was on the Irish reality show .

He is a reality show actor - reminds me of Charlotte Crosby from a few years ago - they know how to get screen time.

All loud mouthed vulgarians. Cannot stand Charlotte wee the bed Crosby or stumpy Marc

If the place was up in arms after Helen won, but would be okay with Marc winning, then the only logical conclusion is that you are wrong when you say they are very similar characters.

I don't think they're similar at all.

Helen was a thick, aggressive, bully.

Marc is a clever, vulgar, wind-up merchant who everyone in the house can't help but like.

I don't think "they all" like him at all. I think they're afraid of him..big difference

Imo Helen didn't win bb 15 - she was handed the win on a plate because of the pass.

Hardly a level playing field is it - every other housemate had to survive nominations and evictions.

It's like Scunthorpe United reaching the Champions League final without having to play a single match.

Good analogy.

Spot on about both Helen and Marc. I think they all like him in spite of themselves with the exception of Joel and Jack who are practically spitting because they can see he's drawn the others in. Even Jade said he was a good guy the other night.

I don't think Marc is a horrible person. He goes too far with some of the things that he says, but a lot of what he says is in jest and to cause a stir and a reaction. I don't think he's a nasty, vicious person. Helen on the other hand is absolutely vile and a disgusting human being.

Agreed, they are not similar imo.

Helen = nasty, moronic bully

Marc = nasty, unpleasant, vulgar, intelligent bully.

Absolutely. Also, despite Marc's knobbishness, there are also lots of glimpses of kindness and self-awareness, qualities that no one could ever accuse the truly awful Helen of having.

People wouldn't be warming to him, both in the house, and outside of it, if they weren't also seeing his nicer qualities.

He is eligible for nomination Helen wasn't. They cannot be compared. You have no proof that Marc has been briefed.

So agree.

People saying he is just a wind up merchant dont get that that means he enjoys creating distress in others for his own entertainment.

As for him having a softer side, thats an act to suck his prey in so he can then torture them some more.

I don't think it will come to it but, if it does, I will want Marc to win for similar reasons that I wanted Pepper to win his series.

I don't really see much of a comparison with Helen.

They are similar but not the same,he gets away with it because he's a guy,a body builder and the public and some Fms will excuse anything from a man...imagine if Marc was a good looking glamour model carrying on the same way,we wouldn't be getting the she's shaking things up line,we would be hearing get her out,how dare she..

My twopenneth.

I don't know if this is the case for some but it's far from all. I'm a straight guy with no penchant for body builders but see very little similarity between the two.

Broadly this - though I'm not sure they all like him.

But there doesn't seem to be any malice in Marc unlike Helen. Marc does overstep boundaries and takes a 'joke' too far but if he has caused upset he backs down, appologises and amends his behaviour (slightly!) whereas Helen would go on the defensive, blame her 'victim' for being upset and then attack some more.

I do like Marc as a house mate but I could not live with him!! Helen I wanted off my TV.
