Simon trying to force a "journey"
tmj
05-06-2015
And it's to transparent and phony.

His main mistake, other than the terrible acting, is how much he's rushing his "journey"". I think it was just the second day in when he was "crying" in the diary room and saying he can't be showbiz all the time and that there's more to him... Might have been more effective if he'd done it after a couple of weeks of actually being showbiz.

Secondly, he keeps narrating what's happening to him, what he's feeling, why he's the "underdog".. All in the hopes of getting the public behind him. Everything he does and says is because he thinks it's what the public like. He's trying to come across as a martyr, as a flamboyant person with unexpected and hidden depths.. The list goes on. Wish I'd made more notes while watching but I'm sure/hope others see it too!

I hope his 'journey' takes him for a long walk off a short pier

I see what you mean.

What would worry me is if Marc goes on a "journey" like the one BB constructed for Helen last year. Simon is too obvious to get away with it, imo, and as you say is rushing it.

Simon's 'journey' is rubbish. I'm afraid Marc almost certainly does have a 'journey' planned. Nick probably does too.

Yup, every time he's in the diary room it's like watching him in therapy.

I'm past caring with him, when he appears in a clip on the website I switch off.

Odious man, deflects all his bad qualities onto others and strives for attention.

Ya think. I see a man, faults and all, ganged up on by foolish hypocritical morons.

Doesn't matter though, at least one of those smug hypocrites will be out tonight.

I'd say Simon is the most transparent person that has ever set foot in the house, and I don't mean that in a good way.

Seriously you can read him like a book, He is desperately trying to make out that there is more to him, but there just isn't.

You had to get a dig in there...

He does deflect, he'll be bitching about somebody then when they confront him and have it out - he makes out he's the victim! (and some foolish DS forum members believe it)

You're right, even when he's in the process of crying his eyes out he's giving a running commentary.

Expect the papers to run with "Simon: My Big Brother Bullying Hell" once he's out.

He's engineered the housemates dislike with that in mind from the start I believe.

Completely agree. It's a bit embarrassing to watch, actually. Mind you, it seems to be working on some people - lots of FMs expressing outrage at how he is being bullied etc. Can't see it myself. He's just having to deal with the backlash from his continual sneakiness and self-pity.

i think he wanted to play Perez's type of game and when Marq went immediately into Aggressive pisstaker mode, simon HAD to change up his game.

now we are getting weepy contrite perez/simon after misbehaving with the other HGs. I personally believe Simon has gotten upset. Its near impossible to control your autonomic nervous system ie/ going purple in face and Veins bul;ging due to Severely increased blood pressure due to hysteria.

but maybe he's just THAT good eh?

Absolutely, very transparent esp when he says it just in case the viewers miss it. I am on a journey, I deserve to be in the final. He used bullied and Chloe called him on it, I didn't like them all around him because it can come across as being bullied. I think eileen done well to comfort and hug him when he was upset especially as he also used her age against her when there isn't much age wise between them.

Chloe slagged the man off behing his back, are you conveniently forgetting that.

...she's no Princess herself, far from it.

In fact her behaviour was right up there with a bellowing fishwife...she didn't cover herself in glory whatsoever.

Maybe so but I think her reaction was understandable. Simon's words and behaviour were just so unnecessary and he seemed to have such an air of glee and superiority about it. Very unlikeable traits. Plus Chloe isn't self-pitying so she wins on that score. Sorry but I find Simon quite repellent. Nothing there to like or feel sorry for at all.

Thanks for your reply...but BIB I just don;t see that.

Doesn't mean I like the man, but fair is fair, Chloe is no saint and imo is very, VERY self righteous

I guess it's just one of those instinctive things! We react to people based on our own experiences, preferences blah blah armchair-psychology blah blah (!). I don't mind Chloe but Simon simply rubs me up the wrong way. Met people like him before and they suck you dry with their self-obsession. It's true that having practically the whole house standing hostile in front of you is not nice and I would probably be the first to say hey guys enough already. But Simon....yeuch.... I seriously can't find anything about him to like.

Nope not at all and I agree with people that she can over react, my issue is with people just using the word bully when clearly it was not. I also didn't say she was a princess, I applaud her for calling him on the use of that particular word. He was using it to garner sympathy, bullying is a serious issue, not something to use to get a particular reaction from people. I think he was wrong to do that, purely my opinion!

Simon on BOTS last night when talking to Nick 'I'm on a journey now to improve and change. But have you - can you not see that I now am realising things and..'

More narrating

Can't imagine that the HM's are the first people to enlighten Simon about the crater size holes in his personality.

All this c**p about a "journey" most people of his age would have a modicum of self awareness by now.

It's like he is working his way through the BB book of tedious HM's.
