I really hope we see Steven Beale back sometime soon!

There is so much scope for the character coming back, someone needs to be around for Cindy, especially with Liam Butcher departing. I would love Steven (having grown up) to come back and make sure his little sister is looked after.

There is also potential with him and Paul, I don't think pairing Paul with Ben Mitchell is entirely believable it has happened because they're the only two gay characters on the square. I'd like to see a more comfortable and sane (but not entirely sane) Steven Beale back in Walford having spent a few years away in New Zealand.

How would I do it?

If Lauren Branning is in fact coming back, I would have the storyline written that Peter disappeared. Cold feet, or something? Steven and Lauren return to Walford looking for Peter.

Back on the square Steven finally meets and bonds with his sister Cindy, after the loss of his little sister Lucy who he got on well with, he sees a lot of her in her and gets to be a big brother once again. Also, he catches the eye of Paul or vice verse. I'd like him to stir up some trouble for Ian, not to the extent of his last escapades but I think someone needs to keep Ian on his toes and with him and Phil burying the hatchet, Steven could do just that.

IF Lauren isn't coming back, then just have him come back for Cindy. I struggle to believe that the two characters, siblings, have never actually met!

I thought that Steven should return as well - he's also no longer the worst child of the Beale family! I always thought that Peter would tell Steven off-screen. It would be brilliant having Steven back, maybe trying to worm his way back into the Beale household.

A disappearance storyline would be good, but seeing that Ben Hardy's unlikely to return and another recast might be one face to many, it'd be hard to do without him reappearing

How did he leave before I forget I remember he kidnapped Lucy, did Ian send him packing??

Aaron Sidwell has said he is up for returning to the show.

I wasn't a fan of Steven and he seems to have become ridiculously overhyped in absentia.

No thank you. He should be like Chuck Cunningham and never ever be seen or mentioned again.

When Lucy ran away she got in touch with Steven but Steven took advantage of the situation. He told Lucy all kinds of lies to keep her away so that he could have all of Ian's attention and he also tried to mother Pat when she discovered the truth.
