EE: Grandpa Terry
Anyone care? It was nice to see him, his appearance didn't need shrouding in mystery though.

I was happy to see him! Fair enough, it wasn't a massive shock or impactful return (brief as it was), but it contributed realism to the show, when the usual rubbish excuses for the absences of relevant characters are abundant. It's good when the writers remember key facts and links, plus it's added an interesting twist to the Ian/Jane vs. Cindy story.

agree and Ian has foreshadowed him splitting with Bianca so he could be back on the square soon
thats how it works right? ![]() Bianca was crying when she called Carol, so trouble in paradise and a Spraggan return plus Beth on the cards?? |

It would be nice if we could have more appearances from past characters for storylines, but unfortunately, it isn't always feasible. |

It wasn't his appearance that was shrouded, it was the end (if it is the end) of this adoption storyline that was shrouded. Letting his appearance become public knowledge would make yesterday's cliffhanger and this storyline unnecessary.
I stupidly came here and saw this thread before I watched the episode so I knew he was coming. Still, I couldn't help but smile after seeing him. Terry was a lovely character. He's one character I wouldn't mind coming back. |

Wont the social worker have something to say about a child under her care suddenly vanishing?

I always liked Terry, so it was good to see him put in the surprise appearance. I wonder if him and Bianca are aware of everything that's happened to Kat and Alfie since September last year. Them being best mates and all that.

It was a nice surprise, and good to see him. No need to make any more of it than that.

I liked Terry, he wasn't a massive character and didn't really have any major plots that put him at the forefront of the show but he was a normal, salt of the earth type character which is always needed in soap.
