Amy has but not sure if The Doctor has and should he write a book if he hasn't? What would the title be?

I have a few examples.

The Doctor's Style and Etiquette (illustrated)

The Doctor's Book of Funny Jokes(illustrated)

The Doctor's Song and Verse(not illustrated)

The Big Finish fifth doctor story The Kingmaker has him writing children's books, and he has to go find out who killed the Princes in the tower as research to this end. Also- due to a misplaced comma at the publishers- his nom de plume is Doctor Who.

The Kingmaker is actually one of the best DW stories in any format ever, I'd recommend it strongly.

Agreed, it's very good. And we get to hear a bit of

Jon Culshaw's Fourth Doctor

Yes, the Doctor has written a book. He wrote one all about the Time War. Clara noticed it in the Library when she explored every part of the Tardis in Series 7 part 2.

This is exactly what I was going to say.

There must have been an improbability drive in that Library room because she just happened to walk into that one room and then look at that one book and then turn to the one page with (implied) The Doctor's name or whatever all in the span of about thirty seconds.

He used to keep a 500 year diary in his second incarnation.

The book How to Be a Time Lord was supposedly written by 11 for 12.

Don't forget he wrote a sort of autobiography, he just didn't realise it at the time - the journal of impossible things.

Not to mention it eventually got officially published as well.

We don't know for sure he wrote it. Could have been one of the 'higher species' who were aware that the war happened and happened to know the truth of his real name. Could even have been river, as something to do whilst in prison between visits from the doctor, after all, he probably told her all about it at some point.

The way it was presented was as though it was a precious rare copy he'd been given, rather than something he'd just knocked up himself.

Spoiler
Which we now know will be getting seen again as the 2000 year diary.

How does that make any sense? he is the same man whatever his face looks like, why would he write a book for himself to read?. Clearly whoever thought of that idea isn't as well acquainted with the show as a person writing a fact book should be.

I've had a look at someone's comments of the journal. The journal looks so random with pictures, words all topsy turvy on a page but possible, though deemed impossible. Carry on writing Doctor.
