Of course it's true. It's not an 'angry boys' argument. Sex sells whatever the gender. When looking for leading men they tend to hire attractive male film stars, just as they tend to do with women.

All of them have been touted as sexy male film stars. It's generally the case (Depending on the film) that they don't hire ugly leading men.

It's the same with television. Colin Firth as Mr Darcy, Aiden Turner as Poldark, even rough and ready types such as Philip Glenister as Gene Hunt in Life on Mars.
You even see threads on DS with women and gay men adoring attractive male celebrities.

What is it that makes you think that it is unique for female celebrities in the business to be sexualized?

Hahaha how did I know you would respond with this exact type of post..........and I was right. Ariel is a hypocrite as the things she "says" and the things she "does" do not tally up. She is more then welcome to show her body off as much as she chooses, but she then complains that people are talking about her body.

A bit like you, you try and come across as saintly, yet you "specifically" keep coming back to this thread over and over and over again to look at tits. And actually, im not following her or "specifically" went looking for it. The pictures have been plastered all over the media........just as she knew they would be.

The argument wasn't whether men are sexualised in media. The argument was if men are sexualised just as much as women, which they're not. You can't just move the goalposts.

Do you know, I've never been that big a fan of Myleene Klass. I can see that she's good looking, but she was always my least favourite female member of Hear'Say. She's a bit of a hypocrite too. When she first appeared on the scene, and was noticeably bigger than she is now, she did loads of interviews saying 'I don't mind being curvy, men like women with a bit of meat on their bones'. Then she proceeded to lose loads of weight, showing that she clearly did mind quite a lot.
