I think this story though does provide conclusive proof and removes all evidence of doubt. Where the footage came from I have no idea - guess some form of perv camera, what are the chances of all of the people, on all the beaches in the world that it should have been her.

It's odd that this footage has been hanging around for years and only comes out now. Who's been sitting on it all this time? It's not like Helen Skelton has just become famous.

It's been out a few years and I know what mentioned in early posts on this thread along time ago, I think there was a lot of doubt over whether it was actually her or not at the time (it was one of those subjects we were not allowed to discuss )

Doesn't the fact she was only seventeen at the time, mean it's technically child pornography or something? I know she was above the age of consent - but did I read somewhere that if you're under eighteen it's illegal to show nudity? (I may be talking nonsense, there's all sorts of stuff you read on the internet that turns out to be rubbish).

Its strange that everyone has been talking about these videos for years but the press never picked up on it. Even if they werent going to show the pics (for obvious reasons) its very unlike them to "not" report on this type of thing. Helen has been famous for years. They could never have known at the time that two years later her stock would rise and she would be presenting on the olympics. Why only now?

Its obviously no coincidence that days ago everyone is talking about her short skirt and "suddenly" they are now reporting on her topless vids.

I think it was the Mirror that made a story out of the pictures without mentioning that they had been around for years. Other tabloids then picked up. The Mail angled there version by criticising other papers for showing the pictures though did not get much sympathy in the comments!

I think technically is could be classed as such, although as it is in the public domain it would be unlikely anyone watching the footage in the UK would ever be charged with an offence.

Whilst I understand the need for such a law to protect children it does throw up these strange situations. for example as a naturist it is perfectly legal to go on a naturist holiday with naturist friends and their children. So we can spend two weeks fully naked but if I were to take a photo of one of their girls topless, not that I would, I could be charged with taking an indecent photograph of a child as she is under 18...

I think with the way the law is worded, even Helen Skelton would be breaking the law if she had a copy of the video.

Some of the Page 3 models were only sixteen, so I don't think seventeen would be a legal issue.

They changed the law to make it 18 in 2003 I think it was. Whether the law is retrospective I don't know?
