Unlucky not to get a win, I think.
Lallana was my MOTM, followed by Can. Looked the most likely to make something happen. Just wasn't happening. Moreno played well, especially in the second half. Origi wasn't so bad when he was on, looked dangerous in parts. Aside from the freekick that led to the goal, Coutinho wasn't at his best. He kept trying but nothing was coming off, and his finishing still needs work. I think Milner looked a bit better than he has done recently. Benteke looked good when he came on. Was unlucky not to get a goal. Firmino was also impressive when he came on. Possibly the best he's looked so far. Hopefully both can start against Southampton or at least come on earlier than they did. Lucas also played alright when he came on, he tried to make things happen. Skrtel didn't have the best of days for me, even though the goal may have been more Clyne's error. We need to work on our set-pieces...and finishing! Looks like we were taking the Europa League seriously. Played a strong team. Oddly there's been no comment on our game despite there usually being comments on English teams being kind of disrespectful towards the Europa League. |

It might be a bit harsh on Mignolet, but as the ball was in the air I thought he could have come and punched it. It seemed to be in the air for a long time.

that bt sport commentator was a right richard.
He said quite clearly that if you hadnt known BR was gone, you would think he was still there. And thats true. It is all about huff puff and no end product. And yes, wait for it.. your about to type the lack of Sturridge as an excuse. Which, prooves how woeful it is that a team costing hundreds of millions arent excpected to score without one or two players. I know things will take time, but licking up the Spurs game as most Liverpool fans were, i refused to do, and being told it was an improvement, is an insult to my intelligence. Apart from 25 minutes of pressing, nothing was different in that Spurs game, in the final third of the pitch, where it matters! Same again last night |

It takes time to turn things around, even as a Utd fan we're still in the process of turning it around.

True, but all supposedly good teams are expected to score. Remember when Cantona did the kung fu kick and was suspended for like a year? Did United suddenly stop scoring and blame the loss of Cantona as the reason for no goals? No, they still contributed goals. I know people will say well its a different era, but then that goes to show how patheticly overpaid guys like Adam Lallana are, if they are not excpected to score goals on a consistent basis. Why are they even professional football players if they cant take their chances. |

Also A week before Cantona attacked the fan Man Utd broke the British transfer record to sign Andy Cole from Newcastle, so they inadvertently replaced Cantona's goals (or some of them) before they knew he was missing Your Liverpool arguments would be 100% valid if Rodgers was still in charge and you wanted him sacked. To be continuing to moan 1 game and now 2 games into Klopps management is absolutely crazy. These things take time. |

As an aside though, given the stick some Liverpool posters have got for mentioning The Sun here, Im surprised there is this much dialogue taking place with someone who suggested that Liverpool should "get over" Hillsborough.

Another frustrating night last night, Klopp definitely needs time to get his methods across, as someone said it will take 2 windows to clear out players he doesn't want and to bring in players.
I am hoping in January he looks at bringing in two strikers or at the very least one, Ings being injured, Sturridge being unreliable and Origi looking very poor at the moment. He may also look at getting a defender and a goalkeeper too, be interesting to see where he feels he needs to strengthen the most. |

IOF was annoying and clearly a troll but she was at least smart. She knew her stuff, just a shame she was a smart idiot.

IOF was at least a fan, even if they had some odd ideas of how to support the club. Ironically her utter hatred of the manager turned out to have some basis although in football if you wait long enough all opinions turn out to be true. Before IOF we had Raven (or perhaps they were one and the same).
This one is nothing like the others. They are clearly a troll without the slightest allegiance to the club so I for one haven't the slightest intention of engaging and feeding her agenda. I doubt it will be too long before they repeat or come up with some more appalling remarks and hopefully we can be rid of them for good. |

Can someone other than Coutinho take set pieces? For all his qualities I don't think set pieces are one of them. His free kicks and corners aren't all that, but then I don't know who else could do better. Can and Milner, perhaps. Lallana, maybe, and maybe Origi?
![]() For me Lallana, Can, Sakho the best players, Lucas did well when he came on 2nd half. Poor were Skrtel, Clyne, Allen, Coutinho (by his standards), Milner & Origi. Now that is too many below par players to win a game of football! It was always a no brainer though that Klopp would need some time, not the 3 seasons I've read about though!! Atmosphere was decent again, and the ground full, including the owners, so I bet they are pleased despite the result. I hope Daniel "made of glass" Sturridge is available for the Soton game, Origi is clearly far from ready, even after Benteke came on he barely touched the ball. Gotta keep the faith though, here's hoping Klopps first PL Anfield game wields a nice win for him/us. |

attacking me now because i dont subscribe to the view that it is acceptable that this Liverpool team cant score goals unless a couple of certain players are on the pitch?
![]() you can laugh at me all you like and continue to praise these boring draws, but bottom line is -- if you dont provide goals, you DONT WIN! |

Can't really blame him for the slow start, seasons already underway, hes come straight into games, would have been far better to have got him in before it all started like i said.

Clearly not, as none of his corners beat the first man, nobody else did better either except Moreno
![]() It doesn't seem like we have a free kick specialist though. Could really do with one of them. |

I don't see why Moreno isn't on permanent corner duty, at least for the in-swinger. He's the only one who's consistently whipping in decent balls.

With the players we had available to us at the start of the season, we should be doing better.

We should be a comfortable 5th and you'd like to think that with plenty of time to go and the squad available we can still manage that. Klopp's biggest challenge is that we struggle to attract the players to compete with the top 4. Is he a good enough manager to bridge the gap? That's what he been brought in to do and what he'll be judged on.
