You see it like how I do.

Lallana too I forgot, he could do well I like his work rate and is good on the ball, we shouldn't expect anything this season we will be disappointed, we need that transfer window.
Yep, Ings is the exception though.
i like Ings, whilst he isnt world class yet, he is extremely hard working
scores regularly, ie has an end product.
and a couple more good seasons, he could be world class!

However i would swap Can, Ibe, Lallana, Moreno, Origi and a load of others, in a heartbeat for just one world class goal scorer like Benzema or Suarez.

Goals win games, not potential

It was the players who Rodgers bought.

Prepare to finish mid table he needs much time, Klopp will deliver when he gets his targets.
Finishing mid table is what we were prepared for if we'd kept Rodgers, I'm sure JWH is expecting us to do better than that.

If one thing the fiasco has done anything
its shown that england youngesters like Clyne, Gomez, Ibe, Lallana are just not good enough

I cant believe some of what Im reading here to be honest. The negativity is nuts!

When players were being signed left right and centre I dont recall people saying they were rubbish at the time. There was then a strength of feeling that the fault was lying with Rodgers but now that he has gone I'm seeing people saying that Klopp needs to totally rebuild the squad and get rid of "mid table players".

If its the players that are sub-standard and the transfer committee is as big an influence as people are saying then what the hell were you doing calling for the head of Rodgers?

Truth is there is a fair bit of talent at Liverpool and an extremely well thought of man been put in charge of that talent. If Klopp cannot mould these players into a team that is better than mid-table then he is not the man everyone thinks he is, but that is going to take time.

I think Sturridge is in big trouble with his career but there is not finger pointing to be had over that. He was brought in as a "punt" and did brilliantly. The signing was being hailed as genius. I dont see how anyone can really be blamed for that fact that even if he comes back now he cant really be relied upon.

Some here are using the word "deluded" to describe the more positive Liverpool fans.

However, there's delusion on both sides.

Replacing potential with off-the-peg class players is all well and good - but we're not Barcelona, Real, Bayern, City or Chelsea. We simply can't do that.

The club (it wasn't just down to Rodgers) HAD to speculate and gamble to some extent and the owners drove the policy of recruiting young. So bleating on about Rodgers leaving a mess just to score points is misguided.

We have the foundations of a very decent side. Injuries are blurring the picture.

If we could put out a side of Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Milner, Coutinho, Sturridge and Benteke it would score goals. Add Lallana, Firmino, Ings, Gomez, Bogdan, Toure, Flanagan, Lovren, Lucas, Allen, Ibe and Origi as bench/rotation options and there's enough quality there to at least push for top four.

I'd say the squad, if all were fit, is in a far better shape in terms of depth and quality than those under Hodgson and Kenny. The obvious differences are the immense talents of both Gerrard, Suarez and to a lesser extent Sterling (who's directness and pace we miss).

To turn this team around hinges on a few things. Resolving the Sturridge issue - either admit defeat and buy a proven striker (which we can't do until January) or give it the season and review in the summer. Klopp should be able to convince such a striker to join but reality suggests he won't attract eleven world beaters.

Add a dominant central defender and things would really start to look up.

The last key area is creativity. Coutinho needs help and is too inconsistent. We cannot judge Firmino until he gets a decent run of games and adapts to this league - I'm certainly not writing him off yet. We miss Henderson badly - he'd be ideally suited to the Klopp philosophy and he'd improve our set piece delivery significantly.

The likes of Clyne, Sakho and Can are young but they've shown enough quality to suggest we should be focusing on other areas of the team rather than bemoan that they are only showing potential. Delusion is expecting goals from every player on the pitch - we just need balance and a good team chemistry and the goals will come but some of that balance is affected by our injury woes.

Klopp cannot miraculously raise the injured from the treatment table nor buy anybody to resolve our evident shortcomings so why the negativity? If it's still the case after January and, especially, next summer then moan away.

All that the doom merchants are achieving now is coming across as bitter fans with axes to grind and dubious agendas. Keep your powder dry until there's something constructive to say rather than creating an unnecessarily negative atmosphere.

Rodgers is gone, we've got a proven manager but he's unable to affect the squad given injuries and the transfer window. Creating negative threads or stomping around in this thread is therefore just unhelpful, inflammatory trolling if not responding to another fan's point of view. We all know the side isn't perfect but we also all know that Klopp cannot influence much until at least January.

Let's just all get behind him and the team and see where it takes us, at least until we've got some legitimate reasons to question things. Reflecting on what's gone, considering the board have already acted, is just pointless at this point in time and adds nothing.

Calling people looking through everything with rose tinted glasses ``deluded``

is no different to them calling me and others ``trolls`` simply because we are not happy at all with the lack of goals

Of these last posts, CC, Alan, Assa, Eddie& Sloth are about the only realism in this thread for quite a while.

Hell, if any of the other LFC fans are all twining like the rest of you (and yep, I know Eddie isn't LFC - but he's got it more right that most of you) in here, we may as well shut up shop and give up now! I have never seen such a bunch of saddos pertaining to be fans, you all really need to get a grip, or go support one of the plastic clubs instead.

Klopp asked for Patience, and he asked us to Believe - if you can't do both, you don't belong in here - or, you're just not a fan of the club.

Just a wild guess here but I suspect you are being called a troll as a result of being the first Liverpool fan I've seen here who has openly disrespected hillsborough. If I as a rival fan had said what you had said I'd expect a ban.

Also you are continuing to act as if your club haven't acted to change things.

Just a thought.

The point is that Klopp can only play the hand he's dealt. Making a song and dance about it at this point in time achieves absolutely nothing and that manner in which you (repeatedly) make the same point adds to the impression of trolling whether intentional or otherwise. The fact you followed the original tirade up with a very inflammatory post that led to a ban only adds to the perception.

No-one is denying you have a point - it's purely the mechanisms you are using to make it and the bizarre timing.

I'm not plastic, I've supported the club for over 40 years and I have no intention of changing now.
Klopp was brought in because Rodgers was considered inadequate, I'm not expecting miracles, but I think everybody should be hoping for some sign of improvement. I know he's new to the English game and we have to make allowances for that, but if we don't improve on what Rodgers did last season I won't be happy.

Of course Klopp can Iinfluence now, with his tactics and by changing the players attitudes. I've already mentioned new managers who've taken over at clubs who were seeming certain for relegation and escaped with ease using the same players

I was referring to the lack of goals - will only improve once our strikers get fit or we buy alternatives - both situations are out of Klopp'a control, the latter until January. His tactics won't suddenly turn Lucas, Milner, Can and Allen into regular goal scoring midfielders. He'll make us harder to beat and that'll lead to more wins once we get a decent striker on the pitch with some regularity - baby steps until he can influence the squad in January and the summer.

However the one isolated striker shtick is UNEXCUSABLE.

Especially considering the supply from an off form Coutiniho, or lackluster/woeful efforts from Moreno/ Millner leave a lot to wish for, is just silly.

Yes he is short on strikers, why not stick Firmino UP FRONT WITH ORIGI.

Why just the one striker?

He may well do something like that soon - but Spurs away wasn't the place to start. Playing two up is a bit risky as most teams play with one striker these days and re-enforce midfield. At hone, it's something he may do though.

Liverpool need to start scoring goals and doing it quickly.

With the lack of attacking options open to Klopp, he really needs to stick a second striker up front, even if it's a midfielder, and it results in him losing games due to being short in midfield. If the team keeps scraping 0-0 and 1-1 draws until the January transfer window when Klopp can hopefully get a no expense spared 20 a season striker, he may already find himself in a bad place with the fans. They were already walking out early at Anfield against Rubin Kazan. I found that to be shocking given it was Klopp's first home game.

No he was telling the truth.
He said quite clearly that if you hadnt known BR was gone, you would think he was still there.

And thats true.

It is all about huff puff and no end product.

And yes, wait for it.. your about to type the lack of Sturridge as an excuse.

Which, prooves how woeful it is that a team costing hundreds of millions arent excpected to score without one or two players.

I know things will take time, but licking up the Spurs game as most Liverpool fans were, i refused to do, and being told it was an improvement, is an insult to my intelligence.
Apart from 25 minutes of pressing, nothing was different in that Spurs game, in the final third of the pitch, where it matters! Same again last night
firstly you do not speak for me you arrogant person, secondly he made comments that liverpool fans would boo this type of football if it was rodgers which is utter rubbish no one would boo rodgers after 2 games and a week in the job.

pray tell which part of liverpool are you from?

This week I decided to not put Mahrez in my Mondogoal team since he hasn't got many points recently, and he's expensive. He got an assist, and a total of 11.28pts. Luckily he's in my Ultimate team. As is my captain Vardy.

My Ultimate is in overdrive this week Munch, just need Giroud (C) to get another couple of goals. Could do with the Jan transfer window - got 7 out injured just now.

I have 4 players out, with Toure recently coming back. Joe Gomez will sadly have to go for this season, but with him being so cheap maybe I should keep him there, although I might trade him for Moreno if he keeps up his form, and under Klopp I think he will, and is cheap enough. Moreno and Sakho are both £5.0 at the moment, Gomez is £4.5 and I currently have £0.5. Moreno, being a left-back, would be more likely to score or assist so I think he'd be the better choice. They might become more expensive by January, though.
