A draw is what I expected to get from this one frankly. Southampton are running neck and neck with us just now in the league, so to me it was as it should be until Klopp can make the changes he needs. Overall it would have been a good match to watch for neutrals, and Benteke's goal was stunningly good - hopefully he'll be fit for a complete match soon!

I am not disappointed, it was always going to be tough, but oh how I wish that Couts could get into the right frame of mind and be his best - that could have been the difference today.

Hendo, Coutinho, Skrtel, and may be Sturridge but he's to easily injured. To hell with the rest.

The truth is that in the PL these days anybody can beat anybody and if I could add a fact alongside this - Southampton are unbeaten in away games all season so it is by no means a disastrous result altho yes it is disappointing with us having taken the lead 13 minutes to go and then not winning.

In general I like JKs selections and the way he set us up - he has done the best he can with the personnel he has. I do not see him having to do a complete rebuild or anything like that but yes there will have to be some changes that is certain.

I stick to what i said the day klopp came through the door, this season is a write off.

Not a write off as such, A learning curve and then during the transfer windows add players who will adapt or know the manager's style of play well. But at the same time I hope we do not try to make the mistake of the last few summers and add too many eggs to the pudding at once.

No, this season isn't a write off, not yet anyway. We still have at least 2 cup runs going, that could be possibles, or at the least are games to be used for the 'squad' to learn adjustments from.

As for who to get rid of? Very few actually, many just need to be trained into Klopp's ways, I can see maybe 3-4 going over the next year - but more than that would be complete disaster anyway, we need a team, not individual stars. Getting a team to gel into what Klopp wants them to be is vital right now, and it won't happen overnight.

I'm happy enough so far, we will improve.

Unbeaten in 3 games, that's some spin, you should be a politician. We were unbeaten in 6 games before Klopp arrived, I very much doubt the results would have been different if Rodgers was still in charge.
When a new manager arrives you expect to see something different, but nothing has changed, when KD took over from Hodgson he won 4 of his first 6 games, Hodgson is regarded as being a worse manager than Rodgers.
I can't believe some on here are satisfied with a home draw against Southampton, I'm certainly not.

Well they would not be the ones on the top of my list of those to definitely keep - what about Sakho, Lucas, Benteke, Ings, Can and Mignolet to name 6 who I would definitely be unhappy to see leave - but its all about opinions isn't it. I also like Lallana and the FBs are OK and changing them for me is not a priority.

Coutinho has done well many times but is inconsistent, maybe a bit lightweight and prone to have anonymous games, I like Hendo and he is now our captain but last season at the end when SG was not playing much we wanted him to show leadership ( especially in the key games V AV, MU and AFC) and he showed very little - he also needs to contribute more from a scoring point of view and yes Skrtel is a determined wholehearted player who imo is our 2nd best CB!! whose attitude can't be questioned but you always feel there is a mistake in him and he holds far too much and could give away pens.

Your right you do see new managers come in and results improve but that doesn't mean long term things work out.

A fully fit squad and there would only be a few additions needed. A towering centre half, a powerhouse attacking midfielder and a reliable forward would do me. We can't play all three of Can, Milner and Lucas in the sane team and expect to create.

Yeah we need midfielder and we need pace. We have too many 10's and no genuine pace.

Remember that we are still far from full strength, we do need new, better players of course but we can still do well with the players we have now. We can't expect new players to come in in January, very few players are available and not many big transfers happen.

If we look at our back five, I think only Moreno is the weak link, possibly Skrtel could be replaced too but I think Migs, Sakho and Clyne can be mainstays in our defence for a few years to come.

Our midfield lacks quality, we all know that. We lack goals and creativity and to be title contenders you need your midfielders to chip in with 7/8+ goals per season. with the midfielders we currently have we'd be lucky to get 7/8 goals in a season from them combined. We do miss Henderson of course though and Can is still young and improving all the time. Milner never stops running so therefore fits in with Klopp's style.

As for forwards. Coutinho is in very poor form at the moment, pretty much everything in our team goes through him, whether its scoring the winner or creating chances with his vision and passing skills. I hope he turns it around soon, you can see he is trying hard to do so.

I hope Firmino can get a run in the team now because I still think he can be a success for LFC. Saw today some of his great technique and he's not afraid to take on players and can beat his man often too.

Hopefully Benteke can stay fit because with him in the team you've always got a goalscorer on the pitch who can get you a goal when you need it, even if he's had a quiet game. With Sturridge out injured most of time, it would be nice to not have to rely on him too much so I hope Benteke can continue scoring to take some pressure off!

Yep - look what Martial did for United. His pace has helped them stretch teams. Say what you want about Sterling but we miss his directness and pace.

Fans aren't delirious about drawing today - some are just more tolerant due to the circumstances. A few more tricky away games and then we've got a decent run of games to bed things down a bit - and then we may bring in a couple of players in January.

We miss the off the ball movement from Sterling.

I think coutinho suffers hugely as well when has no movement in front of him. Origi doesn't make enough clever incisive runs and benteke isn't really that player either.

Firminho looks decent.

The problem for me is like a pack of cards, We have some decent cards but lack a few to make the hands we need, But at the same time we have a few doubles in the pack that are lost in the shuffle.

Kenny lost to the mighty Blackpool in his first league game back as boss, Rodgers got busted 3-0 at West Brom. Dalglish then went on a great run from Feb to May but almost as soon as he got confirmed as ongoing boss the league form was way below average.

We should re-sign Dirk Kuyt on a free, he's has just hit back to back hat tricks for Feyenoord - nice to see him still doing well. Players like him and Suarez would always play through knocks, injuries - please take note Daniel Sturridge.

Shame Milner gave that needless foul away as southampton didn't overly worry us bar for that. Great goal from Benteke - we need him fit & playing. such a shame Danny Ings got injured as I think with better options available up front we'd have turned these draws into wins. Just got to be patient though guys & girls.

No lack of pace or ball carrier, which to be fair Can did was to blame, the opposition have not dominated the midfield these past 3 games, we've lacked an end product, a final ball, a finisher and on 2 occasions now better defending, gifting the opposition easy goals.

I don't think anybody is 'satisfied' but it's hardly the end of the world when you take the bigger picture into account.

I personally didn't think that Klopp would want to come to Liverpool but we got our man. He is going to need time to right the ship but I have complete faith in him to do so and I certainly wouldn't be having doubts after 3 matches. This is still Rodgers' team and as much as I rate Klopp, the man needs time to mould it into his own.

There was a serious lack of goals before the end of the Rodgers era so it's hardly a surprise to see it still happening now. Klopp will be judged once he's made his own moves in the transfer market. I would take Klopp over Rodgers every day of the week,

We certainly can't write off a top four finish yet, especially with Chelsea looking worse than us.Like Southampton last season, West Ham will drop away from the CL places by the spring. Still have my doubts about Spurs over a season and the Manchester clubs plus Arsenal don't look light years or points ahead of the rest.

It all depends on our form and Klopp will improve it. He's a fortnight into his first job abroad.I'm already seeing a tactical awareness Rodgers could only dream of, plus players selected in their proper positions.

I have to admit to saying bring on Toure now for Coutinho after we went 1 nil up. I was just desperate to hold on for the win and thought with their changes I'd settle for keeping it tight at the back, sadly that didn't happen and when they scored I was gutted, esp the manner of it!
