Trevor Francis after 5 mins said Klopp must be thinking of changing things. I don't mind Francis but that was a ridiculous thing to say.

Mamadou Sakho made the most passes (76) and posted the highest passing accuracy (92.1%) of any player today. #LFC

Some interesting quotes from Sakho on Soccer

Mamadou Sakho on Soccer AM: "Jurgen is very close to the players. He speaks to everyone one on one. Training is longer, sometimes 2 hours!"

Sakho: "I couldn't do anything last season. When a manager doesn't give you a chance, there's nothing you can do."

I'll have you know that Coutinho's equiliser was scored AFTER the 2 minutes of stoppage time had already been played.

I'd like to think Codeblue has already brought it up in one of these threads

It's not 2 minutes it's a MINIMUM of 2 minutes but you can bet your house on codeblue raising the issue and the Lucas Incident without making reference to Di Costa

How good was Lucas. So much running in him and superb awareness of where he is at all times.

”

Those incisive forward passes Sakho fires into the feet of our attacking midfielders are invaluable. Most centre backs just look to either play a safe pass out to the full back or hoof it up, but Sakho's always looking for an opportunity to play a forward pass inbetween the lines. People often mistake his gangly frame for a lack of composure on the ball, but in fact he never panics and is occasionally too composed.

I was glad that neither he nor Skrtel really got into anything with Costa, as I think he gets more frustrated when he's ignored. Hopefully the FA step in and hand him a ban for sticking his boot into Skrtel's ribs. Fair play to Martin for not retaliating or making a meal of it; I'm certain Costa wouldn't have acted with the same level of dignity.

You're right, it shouldn't have counted, like that ghost goal.

Poor Chelsea.

Nope, Lambert found that out.

Has he gone yet ?

Looks as though it's sadly Milner who is struggling to cope with the extra pace Klopp wants from the team, that could be cause for concern due to any contract and wages he has.

For the rest though? Well done, you played a blinder - that is all!

As far as Klopp's arrival goes, I'd say Lucas and Moreno are the 2 that have really begun to thrive under a new direction. I'd include Sakho in that, but quite frankly he's always been boss.

Disagree about Moreno. I think he's been very poor this season. His crossing is often terrible, makes a lot of defensive mistakes and gives the ball away a lot too.

Since Gomez got injured, we've got no one else to pressure Alberto.

You're kidding right? Moreno has been brilliant ever since Klopp came in, I don't know what player you're watching.

I'd add Lallana to that. He's stepped up since Klopp came in.

I am being serious.

One thing though I'm sure we will agree on is we need a new left back regardless. Moreno can't play every single game.

First game I miss even following in ages and we win. I'll happily stay away for the rest of the season

I do feel the need to highlight this post - to remind you we beat them twice in the CL semis in 2005 and 2007 and in just 16 months in charge Kenny managed LFC 3 timers at SB and won 3 times. All that was fairly recent so I do not think your post is entirely fair altho yes we did lose them in 2 very vital games - the FAC final and that game at Anfield. Altho I must admit I was not that confident about today - I hoped for a win but prob would have taken a draw.

I watched the first 20 minutes but had to go out to officiate in a match so it seems I saw our worst period, Hated all the blame going on Moreno for the goal as for me Milner and Clyne were at fault too and yes the Francis comment about us making changes after 5 minutes was ridiculous. On my journey I heard the radio up to about 35 minutes and we were getting better and it was great to hear the final score - really looking forward to MOTD. It does seem from reading stuff about the game that the team ethos is the key thing in the Klopp era and the togetherness is there for all to see. The squad will need tweaks but I would not be in favour of major changes - and make sure if we do bring new signings in that they are better than what we have - with JK in charge that should be possible. I recall when Kenny did well in his first 4 months with much of the previous squad and then in the summer changed everything with big money signings and maybe that was destabilising with the benefit of hindsight.

As for Jose I don't really care but it is funny to watch the melt down as like many people outside of CFC I do not like the guy much - but at the same time it was good to hear JK remain professional in his interview by talking about being sympathetic to him and not to glorify in our triumph - that showed class

We want to go for that Vardy, scored yet again, can see the bids flying in for him.

Er, yes... Refs add 30 seconds here and there for various stoppages. Yet the board and added tine is only stated as a minimum of x whole minutes. Guessing the added tine was 2:30 either before or during stoppage time. The board is perfectly capable of displaying 2:30 or whatever so why don't they? Plus if there is one sub in the second half (30 seconds to add) and no other stoppages, what's happens? There's a bug in football I tells ye!

Yes Lucas has been superb of late. Delighted with the win, was a tad disappointed with Moreno just standing still allowing Ramires to run past him and score but that's been forgiven since we won . Once Coutinho scored the cracker of an equaliser I felt confident if anyone was going to go on and win it would be us. It was a fully deserved win. Let's hope we can keep our important players fit & if we can actually keep Sturridge on the pitch well who knows, that top 4 could be a possibility. Great win.

No doubt he's doing well but I'd be wary of putting in a big bid for a striker off 1 good PL season (see Andy Carroll).

Careful. He's 29 in January and one purple patch isn't a great barometer. He'd have to be cheap - but I suspect a club may pay over the odds for him if desperate for a striker.

Sakho is so good... So happy he signed a new deal even though he was out the team. He is vital for us!

Yeah I think any club would be mad. We've seen this happen before.

Re Moreno. I think he is probably the fastest player we have on the field, and when he has his head screwed on can outrun most, not scared to have a pop at goal either. Mind, I have noticed they are ALL having shots - many on target now with Klopp.

*Bitchy Mode* I noticed Sterling doing his usual run, twist, get in box, drop to ground, get penalty call. Glad it was missed, would have been undeserved.

This is worth highlighting as it shows the teams we have already played away - some of the hardest - and of course we have also played MUFC who we lost to - and after the next away will have played MCFC so after Xmas the fixtures will not be so scary altho whether we can take advantage is another matter.

Its hard to know what is possible this season - put simply - we have to take each game at a time, try to win them all and add up the points at the end of the season. If pushed I would say we will finish 3rd as the highest and 7th as the lowest but that could be totally wrong.
