According to this report they say that Skrtel won't feature due to a virus, but at least images show that Hendo is back in training.

Daniel Sturridge is not named among the substitutes, despite Klopp telling reporters on Wednesday the England international is getting “closer” to his return.

Reports suggest he has sustained a new foot injury.

Happy with that line up

was just about to post about the new injury, I hate to say this but we should look for a replacement in the winter window as he is like glass.

I've never known a player to have an injury record this bad. Is it bad luck or should we be looking more closer at his fitness?

Must be so frustrating for Daniel though.

Fabio Aurelio.

Another extremely talented player who we didn't see nearly enough of.

So sad for Dan, he must be feeling absolutely deflated - and worried, his career could basically be over now, no one will risk buying him, and he's no use to us.

Good to see Skrtel on the bench, you just know that if he isn't playing due to illness he's critically ill!! He's the ultimate iron man!

Let's hope Anfield fans get rowdy tonight, and kick up some noyze!

It's beyond ridiculous now. If I was Klopp, I'd be looking at offloading him in the summer without doubt. I really like Sturridge but he's clearly beyond a liability when it comes to playing time now. This is just ridiculous.

Shouldn't we wait on scan results before ripping into Sturridge.

As for offloading the him, not exactly simple.

I was actually thinking of him earlier, in relation to Sturridge. He was like a rare card or something, can't use it often but powerful when you do. Sturridge is the same.

Hope Klopp can sign a keeper with real presence and a brain.

Not gonna blast sturridge for being injured. Not his fault that his body lets him down.

Can't see the anyone wanting to buy him either. Offloading him will be hugely difficult.

It's often said that, despite his other shortcomings, Mignolet is a good shot stopper.

Forget giving away the free kick for a minute - analyse the shot.

It was his side of the goal and nowhere near the corner. And he was nowhere remotely near it.

He is a good shot stopper on long shots from outside the box. He isn't from close range. West Ham's 3rd at the start of the season was another good example.

I can't imagine Klopp persisting with him.

When does Sturridge's contract expire?

He's taking up a huge amount of salary for almost no return.

Nobody will take him on his current salary so he'll either see out his contract with us or we'll have to make a large payment to get rid of him - in the form of a hugely reduced fee + maybe subsidising future wages.

We should have started him and told him not to bother with the ball but just breathe all over the opposition.

I have sympathy for Mignolet. He's not the only goalkeeper who hangs on to the ball for ages, and those decisions are just never given. I think a warning about the consequences from the referee would have been more suitable.
