Nothing wrong with giving fresh players game time.

When do people want these guys to play if they can't play in games like this?

Shouldn't people trust that the manager believes the players are up to the task and if not they get experience in games like this.

Randall struggling a bit was kind of expected but like I said the only way to learn is by playing.

Moreno!!!!!

Awesome response to going a goal down. This is why we couldn't possibly sell Sturridge. The guy's a goal machine.

Plus the other things he has in his game. Makes great runs, technically sound, goes both ways and one on one with a defender his a nightmare to stop.

Best bit of first half. Danny spotted sitting on the pitch, the world held it's breath - was he injured again? Nope, just doing up his laces! Brilliant!

And to think some people were entertaining the idea of selling Sturridge. What a player!

I've never seen us play so dreadfully and so brilliantly in a single half before. That first 20 minutes was absolutely disastrous but everything we've done since the equiliser has been mesmeric. More of this please!

Delighted with that first half! Okay it started badly but since we equalised we've been a joy to watch!

Playing this well without Sakho, Henderson, Benteke, Firmino, Coutinho, Clyne, Milner... The list goes on!

More likely it's been a while since be completed nearly 60minutes of a game as he did tonight. On a hat trick or not, it's still important to build up gradually to a regular 90minutes after a long term injury.

A Lallana goal would be good - he's probably the main reason Saints bounced back up from League 1 when he was clearly a cut above that division. He paid his dues.

He was more likely taken off to prevent injury. But, sure, you keep laughing at our players getting injured. Can't say I'm surprised, and it's not the first time, either.

I don't think lallana and lovern are going to be too fussed about the abuse they got from the Southampton fans
