Wow, what am I watching.
Tell you what, that Rodgers didn't leave us with too bad a squad ![]() I think Klopp said when asked he has a squad he can work with. We have a very good core if 15/16 players |

Well for a long while I thought we'd gone back in time to earlier this season and we looked poor, And then o-M-g what a game. . .

Brilliant five star performance (or was it six?!). Great for Origi to get a hat trick... And that cross from Brad Smith

I did say, the team looked odd, but I had faith in Klopp - so it proved, fantastic match.

You know what, Divock looks like a real striker all of a sudden. Fantastic strike for his first (2nd) one, and some wonderful movement in the box and a great leap for his 2nd (or 3rd). Hopefully he'll kick on from here and prove his talents, it'll be hard for him with Sturridge and Benteke the obvious #1 and #2, but with Ings injured, Origi will get plenty of opportunities.
He's a cut above Borini, in any case. |

elibabez? Yeah, she's banned. Shame really, I'd have been quite curious about her reaction to Origi's performance tonight. A bold claim that it was a fluke? Or maybe the Codeblue method of remaining silent and only popping up when things go the other way?

We have scored 21 goals in 11 games since Klopp became manager, what a transformation.

Even our young players do alright. I'm happy with Adam Bogdan as a no. 2, nice to see him come out of the box in the first half to collect the ball when one of our players (Moreno? The commentator mentioned his name) lost the ball. He could've ran with that ball with only the goalkeeper standing between him and the goal. Randall did alright again, showing that if we have to go without Clyne for a game, which we will do soon as he's on 4 yellows, then I'm not too worried, especially with Flanno coming back. Add in Brad Smith, if he can cross a ball like that more often then our cover for fullback positions aren't looking too bad! |

There's a real possibility here that Klopp could win a trophy on his first attempt. The way he has us playing, I don't see why not.

First leg at their place too. It's the best draw we could have hoped for.

What with the construction works going on at Anfield, would the FA be okay with us just skipping playing at home this season? We'll settle for playing away for the remainder...honest.
![]() Everton vs Man City for the other semi. Wouldn't mind a Liverpool vs Everton cup final. |

Like all good LFC fans I support all who wear the red shirt but I have to admit there are some who I do not rate that highly - Allen, Origi, Lovren being the main ones I have in mind. Tonight they were all excellent - all 3 had cases to be motm alongside several others too - lets just say the team was motm!! This just shows what I know
-and we did not miss Texeira at all - altho I still think he is a good squad member tooIt was awesome wasn't it - the big danger I guess would be if they started to believe that such results come easy and complacency sets in - but with JK I cannot see that happening. As he said after the MCFC game it was not perfect - the defending for the first 20 minutes looked very shaky - but we were so ruthless up front it was fantastic. Be warned tho even NUFC on Sunday will be hard - there are no easy games in the PL. The big dilemma now is what team to play as we have so many players with a good case to start. I think the truth is that we will rotate quite a bit - and I think the players will accept that as they seem a united happy bunch right now. Also I do not think we need to buy many if any in January - which is what JK has always said - and he is generally right and also honest in his public pronouncements. |

I'll hold my hands up and say I was doubtful that was the right team selection for this game against PL standard opposition ( I thought this was a game for Benteke) . But if you're going to be wrong, you might as well be spectacularly wrong. What a performance... from every single player.
Delighted for Sturridge and Origi and Ibe and Allen and Smith. It wasn't just our finishing that was sublime this evening, the assists were outstanding! And that was a performance without Mingolet, Clyne, Sakho, Milner, Coutinho, Firmino, Benteke and a not-yet-match-fit Hendo and Sturridge! I don't want to get carried away with one result ( though it's more than one now) we're still a bit hot-and-cold, but I can see January being a quiet transfer window for us. |
