Why am I been complimentary towards Liverpool? Because they deserve it that is why, they have been playing very well, and getting some tremendous results as of late.
I a not being patronising at all, just honest, no-one can deny that they have been doing well as of late, and that Klopp really has turned things around in spectacular fashion. He has changed the whole feeling around the club, and the players have responded in the best way imaginable so far. Anyway, its not my business, others can judge for themselves. |

They don't need a Man Utd fan saying well done I wouldn't have thought, especially not one who mocks them at every opportunity elsewhere including tragic events.
Anyway, its not my business, others can judge for themselves. I don't mock them at every given opportunity, I can say nice and complimentary things about them, as I have done in my past few posts. |

And precisely what are you doing? Are you not trying to be complimentary towards them?
I don't mock them at every given opportunity, I can say nice and complimentary things about them, as I have done in my past few posts. I am discussing things to do with Liverpool. I am not blandly throwing out platitudes. As far as I know I don't have form for praising them in their thread whilst slating them in another and lastly I'm very confident I haven't been embarrassingly caught out mocking the Heysel Disaster in Social Media and having to hastily delete retweets. |

Let me explain.
I too am discussing (or at least I was trying to) things to do with Liverpool (before I got sidetracked trying to defend myself on a personal level). If you or anyone else wish to personally have a go at me, then please can it be done via PM, so as not to take up too much space on another teams thread, that is surely the last thing Liverpool fans wish to see on their thread. This should be left to talk about things to do with Liverpool, not a place to have a go at another person. |

I said I would let people judge for themselves a number of posts ago. perhaps they are happy with such praise from a Man Utd fan who tweets about Heysel. It not for me to judge.
Like you say best to move on. My feelings on any tragedy, be it Heysel, Munich, Bradford or any other one, is that they all are events that I would not wish upon anyone, no matter who they support, rival fans or not, we are all humans first and foremost, and no-one should have to go through anything like those horrible events. |

I made one error of judgment over a retweet of a tweet that was not my own tweet, and so that has somehow become my official position on the matter has it?

I suppose the last time you posted in here and had a snide dig at us on the Utd supporters thread was an error of judgement too? I don't even know why you post in here, you're not a Liverpool fan and you don't add any value to the thread. You just post meaningless drivel. It's boring and it clutters up the thread. We should be discussing an impressive away victory at Southampton, instead the thread has been derailed because of your worthless platitudes. |

If you want something to worry about I would start with the performance of Sturridge. He comes back and looks instantly great. I don't think his actual talent in a red shirt was ever in doubt but how long before you get used to him being back and he gets injured again?
Nobody doubts he's a talent who scores when he's fit like last night, it's just that is he reliable enough where fitness is concerned to be our long term no. 1 striker? I'd say the jury is out until he either has a long period of fitness or gets injured again. Thankfully in the mean time it's starting to look like we have some decent options up front just in case. |

Turns out the signings Rodgers made were pretty decent but his management style wasn't.
His style of play was also an improvement. Where he fell short was when the downer hit after the highs of 2013/2014, he wasn't able to lift things again - that may indeed have had something to do with his management style - the style was his primary focus and the players seemed to be secondary. The loss of Sturridge for most of last season and having Valotelli foisted on him just added to the atmosphere of negativity. Klopp has evolved the style further but has done that with the players rather than imposed it on them it seems. His charisma and hands-on approach is helping this process. BR didn't appear to tolerate failure whereas Klopp inspires and allows players to improve. |

Presumably you'll be off soon enough to post snide remarks about Liverpool in another thread, or elsewhere. The vast majority of the forum can see right through posts such as that.
On LFC - Great result last night, a nervy opening ten mins but thereafter we were great, everyone playing their part. loved the passion of the players and the fans. 7 shots on target 6 goals, say it all, not longer ago we were averaging 20 shots on target with no goals. Lets hope now we have reached the semi's we push on to the final now, we had a great opportunity under Brendan in the FA semi last season v Villa which we didn't turn up for, I'm hopeful that won't happen this time around. A trophy, albeit this one, is still one I'd like to win. Winning breeds confidence. We sure should be confident going into Sundays away game at Newcastle, here's hoping we do a professional job on them. Well done so far Mr Klopp, keep it up

For me if we had Suarez back we would defo be title challengers. Sadly I don't see Luis leaving Barca for a good few years yet. |

If you praised us in the same tone in the United forum as you do here, you may be treated more even-handedly. You don't and therefore come across as a sycophant at best or patronising and two-faced at worst. The fact you even rile the United fans with your constant errors of judgement and own goals must surely be telling you something about your posting style assuming you are genuine in your remorse? You are overly fawning to all-comers even if that means contradicting yourself to ensure you go along with the crowd.
Don't be afraid to have an opinion and stand up for it instead of posting sterile stuff or hiding your true feelings behind weak platitudes. I have an opinion, and it might seem crazy to some, but Liverpool are doing well, and are looking a very good team to watch, (far more than my team currently are looking). I have not said anything negative about Liverpool on the Man Utd to contradict these comments. I have tried to be complimentary towards your club and team. |

You'd only probably get a sniff at the bench warmers, I'd probably only look at Adriano out of them.

Kind of becoming an LFC/MUFC love in this, full credit to you Alan for agreeing.
... Maybe BD could try to learn from that altrho far be it from me to tell him what to do as he should be able to think out his own actions - its just that Bats having rows all the time with all and sundry cannot be very fulfilling can it |

Thank you - but I should point out I did not totally agree with him nor he with me -but yes it was an adult exchange between 2 adults which to me characterises good forum discussion and as usual Eddie's points were well argued and it was easy to see his point of view. I see little point in posters having rows or posting provocatively just for the sake of it - so I for instance only very rarely post on threads of other teams altho I do read them a bit. Even when you try to be uncontroversial I have sometimes found myself embroiled in stuff I can do without and what you post can be twisted or misinterpreted so mostly I stick to the LFC thread.

I don't like to post provocatively or anything like that. |

Havn't seen anything about Sturridge being injured, but just as he was getting subbed last night, he looked in a lot of pain, struggling to stay up, unable to kick the ball, holding his back and wincing.

Well at least he contributes to the discussion, perhaps because of the fact that you are an infrequent poster to these forums, you don't understand why batdude receives so much criticism... Some of us remember when the football forum was active, with sensible, insightful discussion, we've seen the forum decimated and we're left with well, the sort of moronic posts you'll find in batdudes posting history, and even your own.. His offence this time, saying Liverpool played well - wow, like that deserves him being pulled up for by initially non LFC fans. Why are you replying to me anyway? Suffering memory loss to a previous post you have put? As for moronic posts, at least I came on to post about LFC unlike yourself who wants to continue taking every opportunity to single people out. Get a grip. I think if posting history was looked at in detail yours would be far worse than mine, well those that haven't been removed by the mods in the past. To quote your own words to batdude...why waste time replying? It adds nothing to the thread. |

We can win the league this season, IF Sturridge stays fit, I know it is a big IF but I have not been impressed with any other of the big clubs this season. It IS THERE for the taking, we must now build on last night's result and carry that form into home games. Klopp will find a way, for in Klopp we trust. So glad our owners brought him in and laid the comedian BR to rest!

To answer your second question, he is upping his post count all the time. I've seen this poster be all sweetness and light in one thread and actually, even in this thread, post crass comments over Hillsborough. Will it be held against him forever, yes it will. Other fans are exasperated too, look at Sloth, a very regular poster in this thread, in particular. If you'd sooner indulge stuff like that than my posts, then fine. |
