The situation is sorted by playing whoever is doing best formwise, if a new player comes in (as I think needs to be done), and they perform well, then none of the others woukd be able to proclaim that they should be starting ahead of them.
Of course, if a new player comes in, and they don't do well, and we have three strikers not in the best of form fighting for one position, then that will bring it's own set of headaches for a manager.
