Right, let's just get back onto LIVERPOOL football topics now.

I see that there is a stink about our fans having to travel to Exeter, seems a protest is going in about the timing of the match. If lowly Carlisle got nowhere complaining about having to travel to Plymouth for an evening match midweek - we have fat chance.

Just a small point I may well be smacked down for, but surely we have a whole batch of fans in the West Country that would be delighted to get to one of our matches? I know of several myself.....

Nice to have the FA Cup game on a Friday...that's my weekend sorted! If travelling fans work on a Saturday then it's unfortunate, but then can't they just not purchase a ticket? I'd imagine it'd affect their chances of getting tickets in the latter stages, particularly semi or the final, so they could just buy their ticket and sell it if necessary.

Hmm, good thinking, I have a daughter living down there - I'm sure her husband will be ever so delighted seeing me rock up on the doorstep for a bed after the match!

Lol, this week on Mondogoal, Adam Bogdan is £7.2m, Mignolet is £5.8m.

Poor Simon.

Actually, Ryan Fulton is £6.0m. I repeat, poor Simon!

I appreciate the frustration, but surely Liverpool to Exeter is a bugger of a journey by public transport whatever time you do it? It was always going to be picked for TV so the kick off time would be inconvenient.

Wouldn't do it by public transport, but it's 256 miles all on motorway. Easily done in 3 1/2 to 4 hours if the coppers aren't about.

Not that that excuses the FA and the BBC's lack of thought for the fans. I'm surprised LFC agreed to move the match.

In the past clubs had fans who went to every game - not so much nowadays due to cost and the number of games on TV but there are such people and I would take my hat off to them (if I had one on )

The secretary of the LFC fan club near us in North Wales is one such - he is my friend on FB and in the last fortnight has posted from Southampton, Newcastle (where he took his wife for a weekend away - lucky her!! and this week Sion and Geneva. He is a nutter!! Since the announcement re the FAC game he has posted moaning about it as there is no way he and his mates can get to the game and back again - there was talk of flying from Manchester - but the decision does show a lack of consideration for fans by the BBC, the FA and the club.

But why should this surprise us - it was ever so. They all think of one thing and one thing only - money.

You can't fly to Exeter from John Lennon airport unless you charter a private plane.

Can I just ask, why has only 1 of our last 4 4pm Sunday kick offs been televised? I notice we are playing again tomorrow at 4pm and again not on Sky, is this a new thing of playing more than 1 game at 4pm on a Sunday? There was always just 1 match at 4pm on a Sunday, occasionally a 3pm but it always seems to be us that's stuck in the untelevised 4PM slot

Some of our games have been moved to Sunday, because of us playing in the Europa League on Thursday, not because of live TV, why the kick off is 4pm though I don't know.

Spurs has been moved to the 4pm slot for the same reasons as we have, but they've opted to televise them instead of us.

To be fair we've been over exposed on TV over the last 2-3 seasons. 13/14 because of the way we were destroying teams and since then because of the frequent shock defeats. Now we're back to being just good there isn't the incentive to put us on screen.

So minus Ings who is out for the season we would have Sturridge, Benteke, Firminho and Orgi all fighting for a place. I seriously dont see much wrong with those four.

Sturridge is class. Benteke can improve but far too early to write him off completly. Firminho can improve and Origi is young enough to be moulded into the striker Klopp wants.

If we cant get by with those players there is something wrong.
klopp pretty much backs up your view. no need to sign another striker

http://www.skysports.com/football/ne...ng-for-striker

Jurgen Klopp admits he is getting tired of discussing the fitness of striker Daniel Sturridge but says he has no plans to reinforce his attacking line.

Sturridge suffered a hamstring injury after coming on as a 62nd-minute substitute during the 2-0 defeat at Newcastle on Sunday.

But speaking ahead of Sunday's visit of West Brom, Reds boss Klopp insisted he is not on the lookout for another striker, despite Sturridge's ongoing injury problems and the unavailability of fellow forward Danny Ings, who is sidelined with a knee injury.

"We can't talk about it every week," the Liverpool manager said. "We have to train with him and make sessions with him when he's prepared.

"At the moment he's training on aerobic things which is important to give him a better base than before. That's been Daniel's history. All we can do is to train and give him more resistance with the intensity of football.

"We have [Christian] Benteke, [Divock] Origi and [Roberto] Firmino. We also have Ingsy, but he's not available at the moment. It's a situation I can work with.

"If we sign a new striker who can help us immediately then when Daniel's back we'll have the problem of having too many players."

More to follow....

Might as well right April off. Cause you have Newcastle after Bournemouth, also playing Totenham, Stoke and Swansea.

You're talking to Grouty. He already has us down as losers in those games.

Confirmed team v West Brom:

Mingolet// Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno// Can, Henderson, Milner// Lallana, Benteke, Coutinho.

Subs: Bogdan, Toure, Lucas, Allen, Ibe, Firmino, Origi.

The only doubt I had this morning was who he'd leave out of the midfield 4 as it might be the first time this season all 4 have been fit. I wondered if he'd give Hendo another week, but it's Lucas who makes way.

Looks a decent lineup, but can they show the spark of invention and chance taking sharpness to break down a Pulis defence?

We really need this one.

Purely down to continuity for the international broadcasters.

They don't always show the 'main' game that Sky Sports is showing and today is example of that. In the US, the main game is Liverpool and Spurs/Newcastle is being shown on an overflow/online channel.

I know that the clubs are able to specify their preferred kick-off time for midweek fixtures but no idea if that applies to non-televised games on Sunday's.

Cool, calm finish from Hendo; 1-0.

We've played better in the first 20 mins than we have the last 180. We need to keep it up as West Brom are knocking the ball about more than I expected.

1-1.

Just another mess defending a corner. Mingolet will be disappointed not to get a punch on the ball.

Very, very close to being 1-2 down on the whistle of half-time. Looks to be the right decision to mark it offside, but so, so tight.
