At least Spurs have lost at home to Newcastle.

Small consolation.
The stats for Thursday Europa League and Sunday league games continue to look worse.

At the end of the day, when all's said and done, it's about the lads on the pitch. If you don't score goals, you're not going to win games. If they're not giving it 110%, that won't happen.
You could be a player with that kind of cliche ridden generic message!

Well done Origi. Defelection or not, somebody had to step up and take a shot.

70% possession

27 shots, 4 on target versus 8 and 2

Poor performance. We should be able to beat West Brom at home.

Relieved that we got the late goal but not happy at all with the performance and result.

We should be beating West Brom at home, The team is just simply not good enough, far too many average players.

Let's put it out there now - West Brom were terrible. Abysmal even. But they only needed 2 set pieces to hilariously exploit our weaknesses and put us under immense pressure. And this needs to be the first thing Klopp works on tomorrow morning, because West Brom, despite their inability to play football that well, looked extremely threatening on set pieces, because we had absolutely no idea how to defend them. The Mignolet mistake in the 1st half was bad enough, but two WBA players were free and unmarked at that near post for their second, and Olsson gleefully obliged.

All in all, we've been thoroughly Pulis'd.

And in my honest opinion, I see no reason why Bogdan can't get a run in the side at this point. He can't be any more calamitous than Mignolet. He's actually been very good in the cup games we've seen him in.

This is resembling KD's final season in charge when we had some good away wins against the big teams, but struggled at home.

It looks like we'll be going into the hectic festive schedule with only 2 CB's, 2 FB's and a couple of young kids for cover. Not ideal at this time of year, we could once again see Can playing in defence.

Call it what you want but the stats always seem to suggest it has an effect.

That's an interesting enough article and it's worth noting that the drop-off in Wednesday-Saturday results is comparable with the Thursday-Sunday games. But nobody really ever complains much about Wednesday- Saturday CL routine, while the EL continues to get slaughtered.

toure should be play CB for now before we move Can into the backline.

we desperately miss sakho thats for sure. Look a different side when he is not in the team. Like having an extra play maker in the side.

nobody else in the team can get the ball into midfield quickly and precisely.

Benteke will be lucky to start the next game I think. His too static for me.

I like that Henderson shows for the ball a lot more now but not convinced his got the quality to do things with the ball we need. His got some fantastic attributes but we really need a top quality ball playing midfielder. An Alonso, modric, busquets type of player. Yes very hard to find a player among that class of player but we need that type of player badly.

That's putting it lightly. Benteke offered absolutely NO movement tonight. There were at least two occasions where someone (Milner and Lallana respectively) put it into a really dangerous position, and Benteke was stood there from 5 yards away rooted like a tree.

The meltdown online when the side doesn't win is embarrassing. I really do think some people expected Klopp to come in and win 6-1 every week and go on to win the title.

Why can't people understand we can't replicate the City, Chelsea and Southampton results at Anfield? At home, it's far less space, so good movement and clinical finishing is a must - it's really annoying Sturridge is injured for this spell.

When teams sit deep we miss Sturridge greatly. Miss his ability to operate in close quarters and make goals for himself.
