The post requesting Everton should know their place has to be up there, too.

To be fair, Rodgers did get the push before Jose, and Jose is replacing LVG at United!

He is? I didn't realise that had been confirmed.

Haven't been on here for a while... I see I'm back just in time for one of the forums most highly regarded posters to join us! Good old codeblue eh.

In fairness, yes he would be a good signing... just a shame there's no chance it'll be for us. I doubt even Klopp could use his influence on that one!

Skrtel out for 6 weeks.

I know he has had some nightmare games, but hate it when one of our major players gets injured.

Brendan Rodgers tried turning Gerrard into a centre back. We're low on centre backs at the moment. Stevie's hanging around the club.

You know it makes sense, Jurgen!

One gets back and another one gets injured.

Like that time he tried converting Downing into a left back.

He had some bold ideas, that's for sure!

Funnily enough the best Downing ever performed for us was at LB.

Just imagine - Kolo Toure and Jamie Vardy having a footrace to get on to a through ball past our defence.

Clyne and Moreno will need to be on their game, their pace could be vital to stopping Leicester attacks.

Kolo holds a good line so would probably catch him offside.

I think Mahrez will be the real danger man up against Moreno. He won't beat Moreno for pace but he could turn him inside out with those feints of his. I'd much rather Clyne was dealing with him.

Looks like a good signing to me, and by the time he gets here he'll be 20, so really not a kid anymore. Love the way his Dad is trying to look out for him too, found that funny - he nicked the lads passport so he couldn't leave the country! class!

Seems we're now being linked to Lucas Moura. For £20m-£22m, too, that'd be a steal.

Last week it was Kagawa and this week Lucas Moura. We don't need players in that position. I mean if a world class attacking midfielder became available I'd say yes but it's not really a priority.

A quick Youtube highlights video later, and I have to say that he reminds me a lot of Emre Can. Whether Klopp simply wants competition in the middle of the park, or whether he knows who he doesn't need at the club any longer remains to be seen. Joe Allen seems like the more obvious choice for a CM that'll leave the club first.

Not saying he will be a bad player but we have been down this road many many times before with a certain Mr Rodgers and his young "Potential" players, I remember us all getting excitied about Firmino and what has he done?

But I trust Klopp knows what he's doing thats if he has much say in this sort of thing and its not the transfer committee pulling the strings again as we all know the crap they sign.

All clubs use a DOF or a committee. It's not unique to Liverpool.

He cost around £5m - worth a gamble at that price as we aren't in the luxurious position of picking and choosing off-the-peg quality players from a queue of top names wanting to join us - we cannot offer the location, salary and/or CL exposure the no-brainer signings want so have to speculate occasionally. Suarez, Coutinho and Sturridge were all relativelyrspeculative peculativepeculative to some degree and workedworked out OK.

His legs have gone in terms of PL football - like Yaya Toure, I'm not convinced the odd piece of technical brilliance is worth the opposition running off him for large parts of a game. He had a very poor final year and has hardly torn up the MLS - which a PL-worthy Gerrard would have done. I'd rather savour the memories.
