Well if they just keep aiming high balls at Andy Carroll they might not leave as many gaps as we'd like. It could be a big test for Lovren and Sakho today; not only in the physical challenges with Carroll, but also being aware and alive to the competition for the second balls.

First task is not to give away an early goal - last year we were 2-0 down there before the match got going and in recent times we have given away early goals away at Southampton, Chelsea (yes in both those 2 good wins we were 1-0 down in the first 5 minutes|) and Watford. We have to get through that period safely and then build on it. Yes it would be nice to start as we did at MCFC but I'd just be happy to not give away a goal.

I think it might have been a foul on Moreno at the start of that move, but the referee seems to be letting a lot go at the moment. Fair play to West Ham, it was a great cross and finish.

Looks like Hammers are getting people behind the ball now, packing their defence and looking to counter. I think we need to get some quality crosses into the box to try and get something out of Benteke, as so far he hasn't be in the game.

Owen is a joker. Criticising Moreno for not running back after he was fouled.

Ponderous possession - Ibe seems the only one showing urgency or purpose. So short of creativity from central midfield. Firmino needs to have more of an impact in forward areas. If ye slay quicker, we may get more space behind them.

That's no surprise, we are crap as usual. We were lucky to scrap by with 1-0 wins the previous 2 matches, our luck has ran out today.

Yeah, we should have buried Sunderland tbh, we were lucky not to end up with a draw there.

We really need another striker, Benteke just doesn't look like he has the ability to lead the line. If only Sturridge wasn't so injury prone, I think we would be playing better and faster football with him in the team.

This is the worst Liverpool squad I've ever seen.

How many of the 25-man squad, actually merit their place at one of the 'biggest' clubs in the world? This is embarrassing, these players are making it hard for me to defend them and even support them. There is no believe whatsoever.
