Liverpool aren't entitled to great players just because of their history and following.

From an outsider's perspective, I'm really surprised at the lack of energy that Liverpool have shown in the last few games. (yes, i know you won previous two matches before today).

I'm a big fan of Klopp and hope he gets rid of dead wood and gets some decent money to spend now and in the summer, I still think he has the influence and Liverpool have the aura to attract the big names... And with none of the other big 4/5 looking like teams who can dominate the league or europe in the next season or two, then the attraction of them over Liverpool to incoming players is reduced.

No but we expect the players to give it everything they've got and show some signs of determination. The morale of the squad was completely flat and considering it came off the back of two wins (and two clean sheets), its not good...

We seem to lose to middling sides who are prepared to put a shift in. I hate that as a characteristic. So easily picked off too. Can't just be a side who succeed against teams that are pretty on the eye, feeble or allow us room to play.

we lost 5-0 to West Ham over the two games this season,

that tells you everything...

Klopp has a hell of a job on his hands, if we didn't know already. If he works out a plan for breaking down opponents who generally put 10 men behind the ball then he'll be successful. Not that our current shower are any better but the tactics of most clubs in this league are pretty limited. This season, most clubs are doing it well.I was nearly sick listening to the commentary on my feed. You'd have thought Andy Carroll was Neymar and the bloke who did a step over was a new Suarez from the way the co commentator went on about their efforts. There's a fair chance both will do very little else for the rest of their careers.
It almost makes me laugh how shite our squad is.Klopp came out and said we've learnt to tough games out after the Sunderland win.We go and look like a lazy end of season team for most of the game today, how typical.
Find myself not really giving a toss about the upcoming cup fixtures.Hope we might get a player or two in during these early weeks of the window.Although we'll probably have another mad dash on the last day.

Could say that about all the top 4 this season except Leicester

Bad day, just couldn't get going again in the final third of the pitch. I hate sounding like a broken record, but Benteke needs crosses and we're not providing any quality balls into the box for him. He's not usleess, far from it, but he can't play like Sturridge. We had a similar problem with Carroll and our transfer committee seems to have brought it back upon us again.

To be honest, I hope that's the end of the title talk. We are not ready to challenge for the title; we need to concentrate on what is achievable. We need to hope for an Everton victory over Spurs or else top 4 will be just about getting out of our reach too.

We've had much poorer squads, usually masked by a class spine com aiming the likes of Fowler, Carragher, Hyypia, Alonso, Owen, Gerrard, Torres and Suarez. Our best players these days aren't as consistent or hardly on the pitch. Post Gerrard, the absence of an inspirational local hero after a succession of them for the last 50 years is not insignificant - we look leaderless on the pitch, clutching to sporadic moments too often. We'll probably turn it on against Arsenal and United, which is sad really.

Liverpool seem worse under Klopp than under Rodgers. The Man City and Chelsea results are meaningless when the team is regularly capitulating against lesser teams.

Toothless and spineless.

Thats why the benteke goal scoring record was always a fallacy as the question has always been is he right for us? I don't blame him much as we knew what we were getting when signing him. When all strikers are fit benteke in likely the last choice which is a damning endictment on the club having spent such a high amount of money on benteke.

Yes exactly. I have to wonder how this side beat Chelsea and City.

The leagues gone, I'd focus on the cups, we still have a chance of silverware even if it is the league cup, better than damn all. Hit the summer and rebuild.

Europa league would surely be the best one to try and win

You have to remember, this team was the same team that Rodgers left behind, and for all that you can't blame Klopp. He WILL do something in this transfer window should the options he wants be there, otherwise we have this same lot till the summer.

For all that Klopp is amazing, even he can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

because they play football and are not traditional muscle teams

Don't know why Liverpool partnered with this company, the website's awful, who designed that crap? I only signed up for the new customer bonus, don't think I'll be using the site after that.”

I want my fiver back.

I said after the last game that Benteke seems a more instinctive striker, but today he didn't even look like that, he missed chances that an instinctive striker would've scored. Play Sturridge in that game and we'd have won that.

Also does Coutinho know he isn't obligated to try a shot every single time he gets the ball? Half the time when he got the ball outside the box he kept shooting. Usually in these games we can end up relying on a wondergoal from him I thought he wasted a few plays, there were good passing options.

A positive, though, Brad Smith looked good when he came on. He looked quite confident on the ball I thought, didn't look like a kid who's been thrown on for the last 10 minutes.

Really need to improve when we play Stoke on Tuesday.

When the draw was made a month ago you fancied Liverpool after the Southampton performance .

A month later not so sure

It's not going to improve until new signings start happening, you need to face it that we have average players.

As we've been poor since that game, we got beat of the Mags 2-0, had a goaless draw with Sion, a 2-2 draw with West Brom, then we got beat off Watford 3-0, beat Leicester 1-0, but then we were lucky to beat Sunderland, and then today, beaten off West Ham 2-0.

Not whilst we are still in it!

Although a final between us two would be very interesting indeed!

I think we could have a decent chance with that, at least Klopp has more experience playing in Europe than Rodgers (who had none), so it's one we should be looking at seriously.
