I think the Exeter boss came straight to the game from a Camden hipster bar in 2010

I think Klopp is using this game as a Winter break

Not sure why Danny Murphy seems to be taking it personally that Adam Lallana hasn't come on in his commentary.

Probably because he's been awful in an LFC shirt for 18months and these lads deserved a chance ahead of him.

Yep, he kept going on like Lallana was some sort of saviour and he was going to come on and play Exeter off the park. If he'd been watching Liverpool he'd know that wasn't the case and he deserved to stay on the bench.

Anyway, we didn't lose. Still in the cup and Brad Smith played very well. Nothing else to say.

Bloody well done Exeter.

You played brilliantly and almost won it.

I have rarely been more relieved to hear the final whistle.

I expected a hard physical League 2 type game but you played with style, skill and class.

I am very impressed with your club.

A replay was probably the last thing we needed in this period but at least we're still in the cup, I guess. Nice for Exeter to get a big payday and for their lads to play at Anfield. They definitely earned it.

Some of the young lads did really well out there tonight and I would expect them to play in the replay. Stick a couple of first-teamers in next time to help them along and I'd expect us to progress to the next round.

They looked no more likely to get a third than we did.

Another fixture to cope with in January but I'll be happy if Klopp keeps faith with many of the team tonight for the replay.

Now let's concentrate on getting a few more fit for Arsenal than Utd.

Smith, Branagan, Texieira and Ojo didn't do themselves any harm - Smith is really pushing Moreno now. Some others did well but faded which is understandable. Kent showed Rome great touches but decision making was not the best. All in all I'll take it as we escaped with a replay without risking any more injuries to key players. But we need another goalkeeper!

Reporter after the game - "Thanks for speaking to us, Jurgen."

Klopp - (Smiles) "I had to."

Gotta love Klopp.

My son is a BWFC fan (don't ask) and for a long time Bogdan was a hate figure for him as so often he cost BWFC goals - his first LFC games in the Capital One Cup were decent but tonight and Watford - oh dear, there are no words!! I do think the keeper position should be a major concern for JK and I worry over his quotes which seems to say he is happy with our options there

It sounds like a shocking result 2-2 against a League 2 team and some say we need a replay like a hole in the head but considering we had such a young team out and they had hardly played together and some were far from match fit it was not as bad as you may think. Also in the replay I would play most of the youngsters again so it will not impact the first team squad much - and provided we get through in the end which we should do then it will have turned out OK.

Performances? - in the first half I felt 'my man' Texieira (as I have been pushing for him to get a game for ages) was quality - you could see his skill and vision wise was at a different level to most of the rest but sadly he did almost nothing in the second half - but he was not alone in that. Otherwise I felt Smith was good and Ojo showed promise when he came on - those for me were the best 3. None of the other youngsters were by any means disastrous - Stewart, Kent, Brannagan, Sinclair, Randall ..etc and they deserve more chances if possible but preferably not all in one game like happened here!!

Even if the question is 'Why don't you just say Bolton?' ?

I appreciate the fact that Liverpool's injury crisis is a story, but it's really beginning to bug me that nobody seems to be paying any attention to the fact that we have also had a serious injury crisis for months and that the side that played tonight is in no way our full strength-team either. In fact I can barely think of a major player for us who managed to get on the pitch who was fully fit. Many were out of the squad altogether.

Noble has been out for the majority of the season - he only returned for 20 minutes against Dagenham on Saturday and today was his first start in God knows how long. Not surprisingly he wasn't fit enough to last the game tonight. Ribeiro is a similar story - out for ages, then made a cameo a couple of weeks ago but reinjured himself. Tonight was also his first start for a long time and he had to come off injured too. Lee Holmes has been in and out with injury, only really came back a few weeks ago and was yet another player who had to come off tonight because he wasn't fit enough to last the game. Troy Brown only returned a couple of games ago and can't be fully fit either.

Our most dangerous attacking player is David Wheeler. He's our "nuclear threat" if you like and one of the best players in League 2 (those who watched our game against Teddy Sheringham's Stevenage might remember the wonder-goal he scored). He's been injured for weeks and wasn't even in the squad. Ditto for our talismanic creative midfielder, Ryan Harley and Ollie Watkins - a young academy graduate who has been a real find. Manny Oyeleke was bought to be our midfield ball-winner and he's also been out injured for most of the season. McAllister is our first-choice left back and he's injured too.

Tillson, another academy graduate, is a centre-back by trade. He only tends to start there when Moore-Taylor or Brown are out or when Tisdale plays three at the back. However he has played in midfield recently, in front of the back four, because of our injury crisis and has only a handful of games in that position.

Of course I wouldn't expect fans of the Premier League to have any idea about this, but what really annoys me is the way the national media seem to have completely ignored our own problems with a lack of fit players and the way the narrative of an injury hit Liverpool against a full-strength Exeter City has been allowed to develop. That is the complete opposite of the truth. If Liverpool were handicapped, then so were we.

It's no good him saying we are looking for a new keeper because he needs to increase Mignolets confidence rather than harm it.

It's extremely unlikely we will be able to sign a top class keeper this month so we are stuck with Mig until summer.

Despite Klopps comments, I would be very surprised if Mignolet starts next season as undisputed number one

You see why some goalkeepers are forever 2nd choice

That did make me chuckle. The other point being what if he came on and then got injured? Danny Murphy clearly missed that point too
