Nah, I'd expect us to play a full strength side tomorrow. Chance to get to a final and possibly win a trophy in Klopp's first season. Would be a big weight lifted off his shoulder after BR became the first Liverpool manager not to win a trophy in first three years.
As for the under 21's, nice to see the more 'senior' under 21's playing now. I liked it when they were on loan but at least when they're not on loan we get to watch them more often. I think Ojo could be the next one to break into the first team. Having said that, there's a lot of competition ahead of him so it will be difficult.

I said I couldn't think of many players that did improve under Rodgers, not that there weren't any as you claim.
On Henderson, it's debatable for me whether there was a massive improvement. As I posted before, he played his part in 2013/14 but like many in that squad was riding on the momentum created by the 3 S's and Gerrard. He was poor like many others last season and I hope he now stays injury free and continues good form under Klopp.
I agree with posters saying this is like two bald men fighting over a comb as we debate previous managers.We currently have a man in charge who could really be special for LFC if given time and the ability to build a squad he wants.
If it falls through we will see the usual Ian Ayre is a joke etc etc.
To be fair though there is only so much he can do. If the club refuse to meet the asking price what is Ayre supposed to do. It's up to the club to make an offer that is somewhere near what shaktar are asking for because at the moment they are way off.

I can see us going back and offering £30M-£32M and hopefully that will be that. It's either done or it isn't and knowing Shaktar's previous it probably won't be enough. If they think we are desperate for the player they won't budge, but I'd rather we walked away than pay silly money in January.
The disappointing thing is we don't seem to be serious about anyone else at the moment and 'Texeira or nothing' doesn't really send out the best signal for leveraging a deal out of Shaktar. Even some interest in the likes of Berahino or someone like Gabbiadini from Napoli might make them think twice about rejecting our offers.

There are reports on the Hillsborough inquests, stating that the jury is to consider if the victims were unlawfully killed.
Given that it's still a court case I'm not entirely sure what if anything can be commented on but I'll try my luck.
The jury are given several questions, and in the case of the unlawful killings four questions need to be answered.
Guess we'll have our answer relatively soon.

I just hope that the verdict is a true and just one - one that the families will feel is right for them to live with now. So many years of fighting for justice needs to have the right conclusion - it should never have taken this long, around 1/3 of a normal lifetime just to find the truth.

Yeah it's taken way too long, it shouldn't have taken a quarter of a century.
But it seems to finally be coming to a close. With the next memorial service being the last it could well be after the inquests are complete and the truth is out, or very nearly complete at the very least.
Better late than never I suppose.
On a more positive note, wonder if we'll see Rafa at the memorial service this year? He's out of a job at the moment and was at one of our games recently so I hope so.

That's mental. I know obviously if he is in charge he carries the can but I thought the object of this wasn't to actually apportion blame? I admit im not fully up on the matter but I was surprised to read that just now.

The main thing, to me, is the truth, rather than actual justice being served, but if any blame is to be given, him being in charge will mean he'll get the majority of it if he is at fault. But if we get the truth, the truthful truth, then he can't be the only one getting any blame or facing justice.

I could see Suarez joining us in the twilight of his career, assuming of course that he's still got 'it' by the time he's 34/35.
He won't have the same impact of course, but it'd be nice to see him in red again one day.

At time likes these where we haven't got a reliable striker I really do miss Suarez & would have him back any time, but providing he has got his anger under control & not likely to use his teeth.
