Through by the skin of our teeth. We're going to Wembley!

Awesome. We certainly showed the character that was missing in the 90minutes in that shoot out.Getting over the line in an intense semi final like that might do us more good in the long run than if we'd cruised through.Full credit to Stoke, despite the goal being in their favour they came wanting to overturn the deficit and did that in 90mins.

Wembley bound for the first time in 4 years. We really need to make up for our last visit there next month.

I am happy to be in a cup final but i am struggling to find a positive out of such a crap performance.

We won a shoot out, got to the final and Flanagan got nearly a whole game under his belt after being out for so long.

I'll take those for now

Not just cos of the pen but Allen does really deserve a start in the side. His in good form.

Meh. We may have played poor, but so did Stoke. And they're goal was offside as well, as so I'd say we just about deserved to go through ahead of the opposition.

Everyone had a bad game really, apart from maybe Firmino and Milner. Mignolet of course was the hero in the shootout, but for all his faults, we already knew he was good at penalties, didn't we?

All those fans saying we deserved to lose this semi seemed to have forgotten how equally poor Stoke were in the first leg. It was pretty even over both legs in that respect so penalties was about right and we won that lottery thankfully.

Kirkland??

I thought Flanno played a bit more than 90 mins tonight, but maybe I have that wrong.

It would have been rough justice had we been beaten by an offside goal.

Anyone think all these games recently had an effect tonight. We looked flat and now again another game on Saturday after 120 mins.
