Sturridge will run 10 yards in training before he discovers a small hangnail on his little toe, leading him, yet again, to decide that he doesn't want to play for another 2 months while he continues to pick up his 6 figure monthly salary.

You know it will happen.
What does he salary have to do with it?

If he was earning less his injuries would still be crippling to our side.

On the contrary, we'd be mad not to accept any kind of cash bid for him. This is a 30 year old left back who hasn't played any kind of regular football for 2 years, will probably be on quite a high wage and who is now comfortably 3rd choice in his position (maybe even 4th if Klopp wanted to play Flanagan there).

I love Enrique as a character, but he won't be missed on the pitch.
Agree with almost all of that - apart from the bit about loving him as a character!! Sad that we were unable to sell him yesterday but hopefully it won't be long before he stops robbing us a substantial wage

Has he been put out on loan at all? And if not, why not?

People here moan about Studge, but imo Enrique has been getting paid £75k per week to do nothing at all for far too long now. Thankfully, he's out of contract this year.

The club which takes him on loan would have to front the wages.

I personally don't see him as robbing the club. Contracts work both ways and a Football club cares nothing about a contract when they want to sell a player when are only 1 or 2 years into a 5 year deal.

His got every right to stay or only move if a club pays him what he wants rather than take a big cut in wages.

Ha! Maybe to cover up all the scalp scars he has? All that stapling he's had done has to have spoilt his smooth pate! Suits him, and knocks years off him too.

Robert Huth thinks he's still playing for Stoke.

Moreno's looking alright, looks to be trying to make up for recent mistakes.

Moreno is brainless.

Joe Allen should be in this team. Don't know how he can't get in.

ball retention in midfield/final third just like the last few weeks is so poor. We give the ball away constantly and its not by making difficult passes either.
