It might make them notice...but by leaving on 77 minutes they'll still have paid for a ticket, even though they haven't paid the increased prices. As far as the owners are concerned if people are willing to pay then they have no reason to not charge them those prices.

If they notice they might listen but while fans are still paying, and are willing to pay, I wouldn't be as hopeful.

A lot will be season ticket holders so they would of paid anyway but its not the point. If enough people leave it doesn't look good to the owners, to sponsors or the PL. If something like this gained momentum happening at every home game the media would pick up on it and the owners don't need that.

I just hope that FSG will give Klopp a decent amount of spending in the Summer, if they can give a baseball player a $217m deal, then surely they should give Klopp a decent amount to improve LFC & make the new ticket costs worthwhile. Before the development of the new stand, they promised fans that they wouldn't hit the fans with extra fees, but they have seemed to use a loophole with increasing ticket prices .

On Facebook & twitter there is already a Yanks out hash tag doing the rounds, it is like Hicks and Gillett all over again. Yes it is all very well developing Anfield, but FSG need to do more for the club, otherwise they will be classed as cowboys.

Apparently, ticket revenue doesn't go to the owners, that goes to the club and is beyond the control of the yanks.

Alex - the one we wanted this transfer. I reckon it's just a rumour myself, time will tell.

**Sigh** So miss this man, these 4 goals last night show exactly what we're missing.

Remember when some fans actually wanted the club to sell Suarez.

Ward, Caulker and Tex have been added to the list of players for the Euros, removing Bogdan, Gomez and Ings. Good choices. Those under 21 can be played without being named to the squad, so Brannagan etc. can still go play for us if required, though Flanno can't, it's reckoned he'll be kept for slotting into domestic matches until he's 100% fit.

That 3rd one in particular is one that demonstrates what our attacking players don't do. Suarez points to where he wants it, and then sprints to make sure he meets it. Intelligent and dangerous movement.

Some wanted him to be sold because HE wanted to leave - we were very fortunate to get an extra year out of him and I suspect the biting incident made no difference to us having to sell - but made the club's decision easier to accept. An agreement was probably reached a year before giving us one more season and him the move he wnted.

A genius footballer who is right up there in terms of the most exciting players to pull on a Liverpool jessey. I miss his impudence and imagination so much. But we really had little option but to sell so why make things difficult for him and ourselves? At least under those terms he may come back one day, as unlikely as that may seem.

I can remember SAF telling us we should sell him (quite what it had got to do with him I am not sure) - and also FSG telling him to apologise to Evra and MUFC - I remember all that very well - and it still annoys me now - but I don't think it is that you refer to, it is more the summer when the 40m+1 bid was made by AFC

At that time I remember him being extremely frustrated at how his LFC career was going after the Ivanovic bite. What was needed was an arm round the shoulder and a bit of love to be shown to him but instead many associated with our club came out and said we were better off without him - Aldridge is one who comes to mind leading to him training by himself ...etc. Craig Johnston I recall at that time saying that he was the player who had got him out of his seat more than any other player since 1989 when he had left the club and the club should do everything in its power to make him stay. I 100% agreed with Skippy's assessment, but he was bit of a voice crying in the wilderness at the time. Fortunately SG saw it the same way too and behind the scenes he did a lot of damage repair work which brought him back into the fold. Read his book to have the inside story of all this - cos for sure without SG Luis would have left and the nearly season would not have happened

Many LFC people sadly had swallowed the wide spread media view of Luis Suarez which hated everything about him and during that summer if it had been left to such people they would have been happy to have said goodbye and good riddance to him. Fortunately they did not get their way - but it was a close call.

Another example of CL football isn't really what counts to sign players but it's wages which do. Offer a player enough money and they will go anywhere.

Liverpool being outside the Top 4 isn't really the issue when competing with others to sign players.

He couldn't have wanted to join us as badly as he said he wanted to if he's agreed to the first big pay day mere days after we failed.

This is a terrible move for him. He's in the prime of his career, and even if he didn't join us, there were other top European clubs that'd have been interested. What a waste.

Chelsea were interested in him. They'd have been a better option since you'd get good football AND a nice wage.

In a couple years if he gets bored or the club ends up going poor he could move on again like Willian did at Anzhi.

We'll probably forget all about him in a few months.

I said @ the time that interview meant nothing. If it was another club bidding for him he would of been saying the same thing.

Would love to know what kind of money China are splashing out on wages for players to go there. Not the best country to be playing outdoor sports in - sure, maybe your home city is OK, but frankly, you will be playing in some horrific pea-soupers on aways.

If China are going to start touting for prime players coming to peak for huge salaries, could impact on what we (EPL) will have to look at paying out for top form players.

I have only seen a link in the DM for this signing, and the rest of the links are supposition.

35m? I thought they wouldn't budge unless we offered 53m?

Just like Konoplyanka last year, it was reported that even though we matched the release clause, the 'selling' club wouldn't sell.

Think that there's more to it than what we read about sometimes. Things go wrong but no one seems to know for sure where talks broke down.

I think the whole £53 mil thing was confusion. Seems like that was euros.

We never were gonna offer £35m though so it doesn't really matter.

Sturridge wants out allegedly. Is he unlucky or another RVP? It'll be interesting if he stays fit for another club. if true, of course. Something is definitely not right between him and the club/manager - the open doubting of his pain threshold and desire wouldn't have helped. As for Alex Teixeira, not bothered if that's the level of his ambition football-wise. The money in football is really beginning to bite now - players have nothing to strive for from relatively young and motivation is flat-lining - perhaps that's part of Sturridge's issues too.

Agreed re the money... Ruining the game, has been for years. Standards no higher in general than they were a few years ago.
Funny, if you had got Texeira, he would have been introduced to the crowd, clapped them a few times from he centre circle and would have been cheered at as if a homecoming hero.... He wouldn't have given a damn about you guys or the club
